You have to download it all again from PMDG website or wherever you bought it, uninstall everything relates to the older version before installing the new one. My computer doesn't have the old version since I went straight to V5. Activation is good, straight foward, however keep getting CTD due to KERNELBASE.dll. Anyone has this problem? Trying to solve it as much as I could before sending a support ticket. February 27, 20215 yr No problems installing or activating here. I uninstalled everything that had to do with the old version first, and reinstalled everything with newly downloaded installers after restarting my computer. 777-200LR, 777-300ER and 777-200ER all working perfectly. I just figured the old version would have to be uninstalled since it was mainly for P3Dv4. February 27, 20215 yr I'm a first time PMDG customer having bought the 777-200LR and -300 expansion. I'm also one of those having activation issues (not a great first time experience with PMDG!). I've also got an issue with the Ops Center...I can't find it installed on my PC! I've got the OpsCenterUpdater, but not the Ops Center itself. Whereabouts does it usually install by default? February 27, 20215 yr Funny how people are complaining about the price. Did you really think it was a totally free update for the base package? Someone has to pay for all the man hours that went into it. The expansion price reflects them still needing to meet a profit margin. It's a simple equation and really dumb to complain about.

And even that free update includes also hours and hours of coding and testing to get it working and updated for P3Dv5! For free. What people pay for is 1 new added 777 with 3 engine types and the EFB feature. New aerodynamics, new behaviors, new calculations, etc. I agree on you regarding the "expectations" others have. I also find it remarkable that people thought getting these efforts, which PMDG put in, just for free or even for less. I think everyone should be aware, that we are talking about developers who spent lots of days, weeks and even months of THEIR time to do something WE want just to have some joy. February 27, 20215 yr Kinda disappointed that they didn't update the cockpit. At least including RainMaker on cockpit window IMHO increases immersiveness dramatically Edited February 27, 20215 yr by FlyCathay Danny F
February 27, 20215 yr Something I don't have clear. Apart from the EFB, are the new updates like ground handling, new sound, VNAV, aerodynamics, PBR etc only for the 200ER or for the 200LR/300ER as well? Do someone has to purchase the 200ER expansion to get the new features/updates? EDIT: Ok, reading the FSElite announcement it seems that all these except EFB are included for the 200LR/300ER. Someone correct me if wrong. February 27, 20215 yr Considering to buy the 200ER. Sure I was expecting something cheaper, but I consider it since I know how well PMDG simulates everything. It is interesting that looking at flighradar24 I see much more B77Ls than B772s. I guess due to the pandemic we see much less passenger flights and thus cargo flights take the lead right now. February 27, 20215 yr AUD103 .... a little bit too expensive for an expansion, EDIT ... MUCH too expensive for an expansion. To my mind this price set tend to justify total exclusion in favour of MSFS. I do not think PMDG is doing anyone (except themselves, of course) any favours. In the long term, however, if everyone adopts my attitude (and I do not advocate that) then they may well be shooting themselves in the feets area. It is this sort of pricing which portends the demise of the ESP platforms, but good luck to them if the can get away with it. Tony Tony Chilcott. My System. Motherboard. February 27, 20215 yr I am quite content with the price for the new model, although not sure if it is my head celebrating something new for P3D to explore which is a rarity these days especially with new aircraft. My dilemma is "will I fly it enough" as I move between the P3D and MSFS to shell out for it, or shall I buy 5 MSFS sceneries instead. I will probably buy it in the end, but it is a surprise for me as when it was announced it was definately a day one purchase, but as time has gone on, maybe not so now.
