PMDG 777-200ER Released

Featured Replies

Any modification done on the FBW part?

IRL the FBW laws are cleverly masked to the pilots (unless you try to push the envelope), but I did not get the same sensation in the sim, neither in FSX (way back) nor P3D. It felt artificial especially in the trim...IIRC 777 is speed stable: you trim for speed and FBW will control elevators and stab for you....this was always twitchy on my end. Whereas an FBW Airbus will maintain 1G flight path.

Will absolutely download the update, but probably not buy the 200ER expansion.

I wonder how many people who refuse to pay $70 for a top study level expansion of a top study level aircraft do not even hesitate when paying $1500 for a top level graphics card? I know which one I think is the rip off.

Apples to oranges bud...

FAA: ATP-ME, 737 CA, enough time in the 757/767 to be dangerous 🤠

has the design/animation of the GE90 fan blade hub/spinner improved over the -300ER? I've always thought that was lacking compared to the GEnx on the QW 787.

You can watch recorded streams to see. I didn’t see an improvement. Also there’s a release bug where fan stops spinning lol

... and the aircraft/panels are completely dead after a reinstall. No prompt for license data.

Sigh. Let's see how good support is.

In light of recent events, that's not a bug, it's a feature. 🤣

They don't call it the Cripple Seven for nothing.

Kinda disappointed that they didn't update the cockpit.

They are updating the VC this year as a separate update.

They have been quite clear about that.

Has anyone test if these new versions work well with TSS sound packages?

Not too fond of longhaul aircraft in P3D so I'm hoping that they will announce the 737 MAX shortly... that would be something. Prepared (no pun intended 😅) to pay up for that...

What a complete shambles this release has been. I can't believe they didn't check installation and activation on machines without a previous PMDG installation.

It's the level of arrogance they have.

Everyone can make mistake and we still don't know what the root cause is so I am going to reserve my judgement but I didn't bought the NGXU or the 747. The only reason I still had P3D still install was for the the 777. I guess I have to wait now.

The aerosoft 330 didn't have the fonts in the installer, to this day it still doesnt have a working connected flight deck and would randomly fall out the sky for the first couple of  months after release.

The aerosoft crj didnt fly in a straight line for 2 years and that was after 7 years in production.

The bbs prolougues product lines  stayed as prologue for 10 years plus.

I'll agree its a bug the beta testers surely would of seen. But as mentioned compared to other products as mentioned above its not too bad.   It should of been fixed mind you.   I'll give you that.

Almost a year since V5 released and still can't get V5 installers on the widebody. Sure you can point it to V5 and it will work, but you have to delete the light fx files or you get those large splashes and also the fonts are messed up so you can only use the CDU in pop out mode or you'll miss-click everything. I'm fully Aerosoft for the 330 but I'd love to have a 340 to fly.

Back to PMDG, though I'm a 787 fan I may look into buying the 777 next week.

Funny how people are complaining about the price.

Let's be happy that it's not a yearly subscription.

An ‘expansion’ for $77.72? No thank you.

Exactly.  Hard pass.
