For people who are suffering performance Issue after Update3

It is somewhat amusing that people are simultaneously complaining that they rushed the updates without enough time testing and at the same time demanding that they rush out a fix as soon as possible.

Because pre update the sim ran fine and the update could have been beta tested as there was absolutely no hurry for the newest version. I honestly don't know a single thing it improved anyway, none of it affected me in the slightest. Now that the sim is broken there is far far more urgency to undo the damage they've done. I dont understand why such a significant issue happened 7 months after release; this type of problem wouldnt have been a surprise last August.

This update has crippled our enjoyment of MSFS, maybe not the first sim to do that (P3D5.0 was a dog) but nevertheless no less difficult to deal with - especially as no fix is on sight in the near term.

In case this helps anyone this is my experience (work around) - most areas are borked - but it seems planes, whether with modded or unmodded, G1000/3000s perform worst. I get the dreaded 10fps jerky stutters - even in PNG which used to be smooth as silk.

I flew the modded WT CJ4 in Norway today- still a bit choppy but no terrible stutters c 20-25 fps. Someone on YouTube said panning stuttering could be mitigated by loading a plane and switching on battery and nav lights, then in Dev mode, reloading the same plane. This has had some benefit for me as well. So you can still fly with some preparation - but still a wretched situation for us. Luckily I had no CTDs.

This thing has become a dog. Painful to fly now in all but the most mundane scenarios. I'm dying to get into VR, but why bother with this mess? I just know it's going to disappoint.

I wish Asobo would throw away the roadmap and focus solely on significant performance improvements.... like 50% to 100% improvements!

OH man!!! You are spot on! This game goes more and more down the drain! word not allowed is the word to use!

FIX THE PREFORMANCE ISSUE asobo, or who ever is in charge for the latest so called "updates"!

How do you know it's not hard? if it's "not hard" don't you think they would've done it by now?!

FFS. OK Its very hard to do and we all have to keep waiting to get back to how it was before the update, OK!!!! Silly me for think they might have keeped back ups of diffrent builds. I will got hang myself...

True, and if they had beta tested the last update before infecting our PCs with it, we wouldn't be in this mess to begin with.

On that i totally agree

This is not how it works. I concur that the bug should be fixed as soon as possible but this is not a simple "back to backup" thing. Y'all remind me a bit of children demanding their ice-cream RIGHT NOW, even a five minute delay unacceptable.

I would rather wait until ASOBO fixes this bug without introducing new ones. Not that we can sure about that, of course. Fingers crossed!

Maybe its time to uninstall MSFS and wait 1 year or more to Asobo/MS fix these bugs, and the sim could be at least flyable. Since august/20 suffering with it. No add-ons purchasing until this.

Not uninstalling back to DCS for me having fun. Most of the few million people that purchase MSFS play with it a few months with it they get bored and buy the new game to do the same thing with.

How may DLC's do we have on our computers we have not started up for months or years.

The difference is for us Flight simmers we buy and play for many years. Heck I was playing FSX up until a couple of years ago. We are the exception

The issue is when will the music stop for MSFS. When will sales slow down so much as to not support the servers anymore. There are only so many places in the world that New scenery can be added to promote enough sales profit to be justified.

When that music stops for MSFS is stops for all of us because there we be not servers anymore.

I want it now, and I dont care how!!!

It's been 11 days or 15,840 minutes now which is 3,168 times longer than 5 minutes. And continuing to count with no end in sight.......

Was there anything in this latest release that notably improved the sim?

Maybe they should just roll back to the previous releases. That should be a 5min job.

Well they did fix the flaps bug they broke with the previous update  😄

Beside what was published in the release notes, the focus of this patch was likely CTDs (and reports have dropped here and on the other forums) - wonder if one of the stability updates was the cause for the performance issue.

The very first thing I looked for after release was did they add a brightness control on the TBM's G3000 glass displays and by golly they did!  I don't want mods in the install, so was happy to see they finally got around to doing this.  I only fly this plane so don't know what other good things they did.

Well, I know. That was what I was talking about, right? 🙂 This "I don't care how!!!" attitude is exactly what I described as - well - a bit immature. Ignoring practicability, reality and - interestingly - the feeling that now all is over, live as it was has come to an end and will never recover, as expressed in "with no end in sight".

I can assure you that it will come to an end, that all will be good and that all this despair does not help at all.

Regarding improvements in the update:

bugfix "Blue Shimmer"
some approvements of standard Garmins.
several airplane config improvements
control surface limits
much less CTD for many people
new AIRAC  data
lots of fixes in 787
lots of VR improvements I don't care about

Not that this was a great update, though. The new bug was worse than these approvements.

It was a joke and a quote from the Willy Wonka character Veruca Salt. She was a bad egg and disappeared down the garbage chute. Maybe I'll suffer the same fate after my musical performance while on my tour of Asobo's headquarters? Then the Oompa Loompas who do the grunt work (coding Flight Simulator) will sing a song about spoiled immature children who just want their 30 FPS back.
