What will you do with your performance increase?...

I hope to have stable 30 with the DC-6 at any airport.

brace for when we finally get good 3rd Party AI traffic and there is a net gain of zero from the current build.

I hope to be able to take off from Renton, WA and fly South or Southwest without the massive stutters I currently experience.

Also hope to avoid ALL stutters and the strange pauses I get now even with my 10900K and RX6800 regardless of settings.

If there’s anything left over I might buy a nice dinner for my wife. 🙂

I will try to set glass cockpit refresh rate at High.

I have a 5800X that I just upgraded to and still my old 2080 (trying to find a 3080) and I run at 1440p and get like 20 FPS or less at times, esp when landing which ruins the experience, so if I could get a stable 30 I'd be happy.

Been trying to find a 3080 also in anticipation of this next release (already built systems mostly) and even these are hard to reasonably find...

SAR Pilot. Flight Sim'ing since the beginning.

Likely nothing until I see if it came without some offsetting form of collateral damage!  🤪

Hoping to run glass refresh on medium or high for FBW and 787 while staying above 48fps consistently. That way I stay in Gsync on my LG ultra wide that only supports freesync with gsync compatibility  both at 48+ FPS.

I honestly don't think I will notice any difference.

Wait for AIG's AI manager to see what a sky full of planes at Tampa international looks like

agreed ... I am sitting around 60 fps at 1440p so even if it kicks up to 75 do not expect on screen to see any difference in my normal flying.

I suppose if I went to a 4K screen or VR it might matter more and performance when recording may improve.

The change should be a big help for people on low end or middle range PCs though.

What will I do? I will use other sims still but MSFS will be the primary one. Especially when the Pmdg 737 comes out. Having stutter free HD next gen graphics is going to be awesome.

Greazer.

Frames vary like everyone else, but I’ve done some testing over NY in the 152 to get a comparison with Sebs video. Ultra, LODs at 100, 1440p with a 150% render scale I get up to 40fps, and mostly smooth down until I get new JFK where it tanks and stutters occasionally due to data injection.

Ultra 1440p 200LODs at 40fps+ With glass cockpits everywhere would be amazing.

60fps would be a dream and transform the whole experience for me,

New PC Ryzen 9850X3D - 32gb ddr5 6000Mhz - MSI MAG B850 Tomahawk wifi - Gigabyte wind force gaming OC 5090 - 2TB Sabrent NVMe. T Flight Rudder Pedals - Trackir.

I have a very similar config than Sébastien Wloch, so I am fairly optimistic I will get about 50% perf increase. I will wait patiently for AIG and the 737 from PMDG and hope to have the same perfs as I have right now...

I'm keeping my expectations fairly low, but should I get a decent boost in VR then I'll be upping the Clouds and Terrain LODs as high as possible first then see what's left to play with.
