This is by far the best thread at the moment. Minimal negativity and lots of good ideas to take ourselves away from our obsession!

My go to at the moment is PUBG.

That was the plan. 😀

Assassin‘s Creed Valhalla

Loved the worlds they created in Origins and Odyssey, the grind less so. So many reports said Valhalla was more grind and less world depth so…

Check out SnowRunner,

Throughout the environment you can discover broke down trucks mired down off-road.

Been meaning to get this one as well. Really liked Mudrunner.

Oh, by the way!

Do we have anyone old (or just cool) enough to have played some of the immortal classic dungeon crawlers like NetHack or eaven MUDs..? NetHack is something I still can play all these years later. 😍

This is the game I'm waiting for: first-day-buy for sure!

https://www.ign.com/articles/dishonored-co-creator-is-working-on-a-new-arkane-game-with-dishonored-and-prey-developers

Previews on youtube look word not allowed insane!

The game I'm referring to is "Deathloop" - the creators of the (rebooted) Prey (a game I highly recommend) and Dishonored are involved. The previews are great.

The style reminds me a bit of NOLF 1 and NOLF 2 (he he, I bet nobody knows what I'm talking about).

GTA5 at the moment. Tried Crusader Kings 3 but couldn't get the hang of it so it's parked for now.

I've been thinking about RDR2 and that's now definitely on my list when I've finished GTA5 and I might try 'The Hunter:  Call of the Wild' now too as that looks something a bit different.

Gary Grigsby's War in the East 2, best WW2 game I have ever played.

I had to look this one up - by the team that make CMANO, can't be anything but awesome 🙂

I loved the one with Kassandra. That's Odyssey, I think. Valhalla just couldn't hold a candle to it, unfortunately. Even the landscape was dull.

So, what am I playing? Let's see: PGA Tour 2K21, Mechwarrior 5, Yakuza 0, The Ascent, Wildermyth, Transport Fever 2 (love riding new train lines after I've created them!). Also Wasteland 3, Warhammer 40K: Mechanicus.

Ahh Skyrim, what a masterpiece. That was the first role-playing game I got hooked on. A revelation. The second one was Witcher Wild Hunt.

I play Skyrim (vanilla) more or less once every two years 😄. Have you tried its predecessor Oblivion ? Quite nice too.

The Witcher didn’t hook me. I hate QTE !

Besides Skyrim, the Dragon Age series is really good, specially the last installment Inquisition. Very cheap now when in sale.

Thanks to the OP, this thread shows, if one had any doubt,  that Avsim members are simmers and gamers too. And that we know one thing or two about what is a good game 😁

I do!  Classics as far as I'm concerned.
