May 4, 20224 yr Couple of things buying from Milviz. Apparently, there are 2 places where your available downloads are stored. One for all purchases before May 2021, and another for all purchases after May 2021. You won't see the new purchase in the first place. You can tick a box during the purchase from the cart, to indicate you want to receive update notices on that product. (I had failed to check the box for PC6 and have been flying without the last update). I suppose there is also a way to tick the box later somehow, maybe, 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.
May 5, 20224 yr Think I found a bug, using the EFB cannot seem to repair the Right Magneto. All other items seem to function as expected. Tried after a reboot too. Wanted all items as in new condition, this was the only one that wanted to remain used.. 🤫 Other than that, this is one very nice machine. Did have one major booboo on maiden voyage. Don't forget to setup Aileron/Elevator Axes in FSUIPC before takeoff. Thought I was glued to the ground so I gave it some more thrust and trim wheel and zoom, she shot skyward only to stall and dive back to earth in a big messy mistake.. DOH! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Lesson Learned.. But the left engine can be if it stops running. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. But the left engine can be if it stops running. I just did a right engine cut with mixture and the prop feathered just right. Restart worked fine too. It takes a few seconds to spin down and stop, as you noticed with the left engine. If it doesn't stop in about 10 seconds, push the prop level up to full fine then down to feather again. Be sure it's all the way down. Charles "Dutch" Owen - Developer at Military Visualizations - currently working on the C310R and SR-71A project for MSFS.
May 5, 20224 yr For those interested in the aerodynamics of this aircraft in the sim, interesting to visualize the airflow and other parameters especially since it has SU9's CFD enabled (see Asobo's dev doc for more details: https://devsupport.flightsimulator.com/storage/attachments/2425-debug-aircraft-cfd.pdf) Len 1980s: Sublogic FS II on C64 ---> 1990s: Flight Unlimited I/II, MSFS 95/98 ---> 2000s/2010s: FS/X, P3D, XP ---> 2020+: MSFS Current system: i9 13900K, RTX 4090, 64GB DDR5 4800 RAM, 4TB NVMe SSD
May 5, 20224 yr I have the same problem with repairing the right magneto on the left engine. Really enjoying the plane though.
May 5, 20224 yr The engine sounds are just great in this aircraft. I have flown a couple of flights in a 310, and this really reminds me of that..
May 5, 20224 yr I'm trying to test the feathering on both engines, but Lorby Axis and Ohs has a new patch release today, I have MSFS and Lorby profiles connected to the same axis. I have to sort that just to fly by removing some stuff from MSFS direct control and let Lorby do it all. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. May 5, 20224 yr Absolutely amazing aircraft! I have blast syncing prop waaaawaaaa..Just like IRL. I belive 310 was the first aircraft MilViz released for FSX ever! Back in day I was very impressed, so is now! Life time flight sim enthusiast, current airplane owner 172P (past C182F). May 5, 20224 yr Got my profiles sorted so quad will work the levers correctly, and both engines will operate and feather the same and all is very well. I don't have any issues. Haven't seen any golden eggs either, however. I like the old Airplane Heaven Cessna 140, Caranado C-170 and Blackbox L19. For modern GA I would have little cause to complain if this one from Milviz was the only one in the sim. Probably my favorite plane right now. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. May 5, 20224 yr Is there a way to change altimeter settings from inHg to hpa? I'm mostly flying in Europe so being able to change the setting would come in handy.
May 5, 20224 yr Very happy to be back in the cockpit of a plane that gave me a lot of pleasure in XPlane. Oh, the joy of watching those wingtip tanks against the moving ground when banking! One thing that I might be going a bit crazy over; does the real thing have some kind of matte buff on the metal? Sunlight doesn’t seem to reflect in as glossy a way as all other planes I have in MSFS. i910900k, RTX 3090, 32GB DDR4 RAM, AW3423DW, Ruddy girt big mug of Yorkshire Tea
