Did a clean install of the driver...replacing the recent studio version.

I had just switched to DX12 in the sim before installing.   After install....all I get is CTD after the initial loading screen.  Community folder empty.

Manually set DX12 in UserCfg.opt to off and tried again...same thing.

Have both rebooted and total shutdown a few times, no effect.

Cannot get into MSFS now....thoughts/help?  Is there a way to manually start MSFS in safe mode?

I had a similiar thing some time ago, i disabled vsync and all went back to normal, than i enabled vsync without problem. If it can help you…

Nice to mention a specific route. Will try that one too! Thanks.

VR test Aberdeen 5000 feet with clear skies, WITHOUT motion reprojection.

DLSS 43 fps most settings ULTRA or high, very smooth outside, some ghosting still in the cockpit. So no MR necessary for this kind of flying.

TAA 30 fps idem, a bit stuttery no real smooth periods

Clouds on and on ULTRA does not seem to have much impact! That certainly has changed.

MS FS 2020/2024 | 9800X3D  | 64GB DDR5 6000mhz |  ASUS ROG ASTRAL RTX 5090 32GB GDDR7 OC EDITION   | Varjo Aero | Navigraph | VATSIM | TPR Pedals | Virpil  | Honeycomb | Winwing FCU + EFIS | Behringer X Touch Mini | SPAD.next

After reading this thread I will stick with the installed Studio Driver for now.

As I am zoomed in to 0.80 I prefer TAA cause DLSS shows the zoomed in distance less sharp.

Before this new driver this is what I had using DX12:

- No stutters

- Texture corruption causing giant trees

-White flashes in cockpit

-Airport ground textures corruption causing missing runway and taxiway textures

After installing the new driver and using DX 12 I have:

- Stutters that I didn't have before

- No giant trees

-Same white flashes I had with the 516.xx driver

- Didn't see any airport ground textures corruption yet, need to test more

Conclusion: Only thing this driver fixed for me was the giant trees, but now I have stutters. Going back to DX11, where I have no stutters, no giant trees, no white flashes in the cockpit and the same FPS as DX12.

I'm seeing a huge decrease in fames with this latest driver update. Currently flying Fenix A320 in mostly clear weather with the framerate not getting above 30. In the same scenario before the latest driver update, i would easily be able to achieve between 40 and 60 frames. Anyone else experiencing the same thing?

using one of the two utilities available to strip down drivers. Or you can do it yourself with NVslimmer

This is another good one. However, I'm not using it:

Installing Studio driver again!

Currently using the new studio drivers with DX12 and TAA.

I'm wondering whether to dl the game ready driver.  From what I've read, I see little point.

I'm also wondering whether to try going back to DX11 for a test, though DX11 would seem to be a retrograde step bearing in mind where things are currently going.

Would be interested to hear from anyone who have upraded from the studio to the game ready drivers.

As I mentioned, not much difference. It doesn’t even “feel” better finally being on the “proper” driver. But then again, I’m a simmer, not a gamer, so maybe I should go back to the studio driver.

Sorry for the sarcasm, it’s not directed at you. Just the general confusion re: which driver includes the “fix” for SU10.

Just took a look at this. It says to basically removal all fps capping, but my only option in my sim is to change my monitor refresh rate between 33% 50% or 100%. Never seen this before. I tried all three options but none made a difference. Also noticed my GPU temps are way higher than usual in the high 70's. Its like my PC cant run MSFS anymore.

Early indications are promising for me, before I was getting stutters (especially panning) on DX11&12, now these appear to have gone.

I’m not using DLSS as clearly (with my specs and res 1440p)  there’s no gains to be made,TAA all the way thanks👍

OK....officially getting worried here.....all tips and hints delivered here have not helped my situation.

MSFS simply CTDs after the loading screen (the one where you see the TBM with KSFO in the background.  Its gets to the screen where MSFS "should" start loading, and CTD immediately.

I reverted back to the studio driver (and used the clean install option)...and now with the studio driver, getting the exact same issue.

Never have I ever had this happen with a driver update...MSFS has been just about flawless since I bought it day 1.

Hope more suggestions come in...I'm HARD DOWN! 😞
