Did a 7 hour flight yesterday and FPS degraded a couple of hours before that with stutters. Love to know what is happening. Because it's from iniBuilds. Sounds from the flightdeck, only a real world T7 pilot could really answer that question, the rest of us are just speculating. A real world captain would typically fly with a headset. So that may not be clean cut. There also is more to vc sounds than engine volume. You gave the actual tone and sound frequency. You have spool timings etc. many of those can be easily heard on high quality you tube real world real world recordings. Or even from the opinions of flight attendants and very frequent flyers of the type. I generally like pmdg sounds. But have never liked their 777 ones. In msfs or p3d That's a very good point - actually would be good to have headset on/off option in the aircraft (also in the 737). Some Devs are offering that now, although I would say it's best done in the XP Chally.... no fuss, click on the headphones and you're wearing them. No faffing with menu's etc.... click on the stand to put them back .. G Gary Davies aka "Gazzareth" Simming since 747 on the Acorn Electron

In msfs or p3d In another thread, a user with a 5.1 surround sound system said he is hearing the GE90 “roar” very well, but it is encoded in the center channel instead of the left and right channels as you would expect. If so, a user with simple 2.1 sound might not hear it at all, or hear it at very diminished volume. The “roar” might indeed be there, but not for users who do not have a 5.1 sound system on their computer. There is drama everywhere in the real world that is more serious than this. This is not serious business in the context or reality and any critique to a developer (in a game/sim genres hobby) is not bashing or any drama just an opinion from paying customers. Why can't some people understand that? Edited July 1, 20241 yr by JBDB-MD80

July 1, 20241 yr The base panel is a bit lackluster to some. But VC sidewalls, pedestal, and other areas make up for it as those are really well done. I was not the most excited from a VC texture standpoint, as I could even fly without an external model, as spend most time in the VC..... But, PMDG have done such a GREAT job with the overall immersion factor and the whole experience is so well done that I really enjoy flying it; and that is their objective I suppose :) Simon

Also how do we know the Bluebird devs are perfectionists? You have literally nothing to judge their qualities on. They have not yet released a single aircraft. They could by all means just be slow. For me they've lost all their credibility when they announced a 787 on the FSExpo, the aircraft after the aircraft after aircraft. No serious professional would do something like that, especially when their past release history is just blank. It's skeptics like you that motivate us to prove you wrong. You have no idea what's going on behind the scenes. I've been in sim development off and on for over 26 years. We're one of the few devs that is building an airliner from scratch. I am extremely lucky to have the team that I have working on these aircraft. These guys are good, you will see. In the end, when it's released, we'll let the product speak for itself. Until then, keep the skepticism coming my friend. All good. For the rest that have supported us from day 1, thank you! We will make you proud.

You‘re kind of missing the point of my „scepticism“ as you call it: Why did you feel the need to announce the 787 on the FSExpo, when you‘re yet to release a product at all? Rather than this or a clickable biro or glowing brake pads etc etc, I'd prefer PMDG to spend a little time enabling us to use our iPads for the FMC and EFB 😉 14900ks, RTX4090, 64Gb@6000-30-36-36-T2, Samsung 990Pro 2Tb , Dell G3223Q 32" 4k Gsync + 27" secondary monitor.
