October 19, 20241 yr Commercial Member Tree sizes were generally accurate, but I found some issues: misplaced/tall trees in incorrect locations (e.g., mountain tops) and missing seasonal changes in some areas or many places with sparse trees or no tree at all where there should be. Hopefully, these will be fixed by release. On the bright side, editing capabilities allow for easy corrections, as I was able to remove tall trees on hills in Iceland during alpha testing. Actual 3d tree models are in clouds but editing can be done locally. It still doesn't know where the tree line is. Neither when it comes to above MSL nor when it comes to latitude. And its capability to recognize them on the satelite images without the help of OSM data are still severly limited. I saw a video of a landing at Barra, Scotland. There are supposed to be no trees, yet there were plenty. So people will still need to fix the tree placement manually I fear. Edited October 19, 20241 yr by Farlis
