MSFS 2024 has been released!

Featured Replies

Okay, was stuck at the infamous 97% and decided to restart my PC.

1. It didn't try to install anything again.

2. I didn't ask me to login to XBOX.

3. I was stuck at 6% for a while just like the first time... I am at 13% activating packages...

My conclusion: when you see those percentages it means the game has installed fine. (It was done within a few minutes on my PC.) After that the sim is simply trying to load from the cloud... This isn't an initial first time only thing: it's just the sim being unable to load due to server load.

So do not restart your PC: it will only have you starting the game all over again with most probably the exact same result.

This means that for me MSFS2024 is unplayable today. It just won't load. I'll give it another go tomorrow.

Ok let's guess how soon this bunch of b move the sim to offline (2020 style) mode?

Got back in. Went for Career mode and my airport is not selectable to use as a starting location. Odd, it was during the tech alpha.

A few have commented " They should have beta tested it first"... They did, this is the Beta test.....

They wanted a few 'elite' members testing servers ; when it should have done for real; next time please release a small beta for all to test; this could have been avoided.

it took me more than 20 minutes to get to 9%. Has there been a statement by Microsoft on this if they are working on it?

Those are rookie numbers.  Two and a half hours to get to 12%.

Another stuck on 97% for 90 mins force quit and now stuck back on 97%

Had enough for tonight.

LOL Me too! I was about to shut down my PC when I suddenly was able to setup graphics and controls! But now I am stuck at Customize identity... I'll quit for now and give it a try again tomorrow.

Any idea what it does at this stage?

I got to the customise part thing and chose default guy no.1 (as I always do in any game). Got to fly the 172 a bit, but most planes are missing.
