MSFS2020 is only 4 years into its 10 year run. Just took 3 minutes and 5 seconds to load up ready for takeoff. Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW

So YOU did something..it didn't work out as you had planned, so now WE who didn't do what you did should pay for it so you can have a better experience? Seriously? I mean who cares if the base game is triple the size. Storage is cheap Yea, I agree. When they announced it I thought it was an interesting approach and if it could work it would be be a way forward but after today I am not longer convinced of this and maybe we should just download more of the game. I have not even been able to get access it it after the initial install which is kind of disappointing. I get it is launch day and there is a lot of interest so I am still prepared to give them some leeway but I hope every time there is a Vatsim event we can't launch the game! MSFS 2024. November 19, 20241 yr Anyone who has been in this hobby for more than one generation of Flightsim could have told you that uninstalling 2020 would be unwise and premature. So no don't take away the 2020 servers! Edited November 19, 20241 yr by YukonPete Pete Richards I've owned every version of flight simulator since Flight Simulator 3.0 in 1988. November 19, 20241 yr Did not uninstall my 20 version but I also fully expected this (server issue/s) on launch day. It is obvious they overlooked the one important thing... Server related issue/s on launch day. November 19, 20241 yr It doesn't even work like that these days, everything is in a distributed and virtualized environment. It also could be that the volume of network traffic is just too high with everyone trying at once, more servers would just make that worse. Brian W KPAE
November 19, 20241 yr No we don’t need the 2020 servers taken down , no one forced people to nuke their 2020. It was pretty obvious there would be issues at release , just look at the past history when 2020 was released. anyone that prematurely deleted 2020 have got no one to blame but themselves . Why should simmers that have kept 2020 installed suffer Ill be keeping 2020 installed for at least 6 months Edited November 20, 20241 yr by jason74 Jason Richards
