This can be removed under the Identity Settings -- top right.  Some of these are real issues and some are people's preferences not being met. Honestly, this sounds a lot like when 2020 came out.

And people not understanding the new GUI yet, it took me some guessing but I got every binding on my controllers identical to 2020.

I removed MSFS 2020 after a very fun day of flying today.

  • Well, this isn't going to take 5 minutes to fix-up is it?  I expect it could be well into next year.  I see people saying we need to be patient, and patience is a virtue.  Well, if wasting my life a

  • and yet some people couldnt wait to uninstall 2020.

  • 😄, posting goodbye threads and Youtube videos.  I saw this coming a mile away (a total cloud sim 🤨).  It might be March 2025 before I dive in (maybe next summer).

Did you remove the engine inlet covers…

Yea, it is a bit of a disorienting UI coming from 2020. It is taking me time to learn it and figure out where things are and how they work. I knew this would take some time, which is why I wanted to just leave 2020 and and start learning. But, Asobo would have done themselves a big favor by providing some guides and a few videos to walk people though the changes, setup and how things operate.

For now, I am getting the hang of it and starting to fly. The sim looks great.

And the flight model is great too!

Default aircraft feel as good as payware.

I was flying circuits this afternoon at my local airport as a cold front nears and I was being tossed around a bit - felt so real!

My biggest issue is performance. I have to run on medium to get smooth performance and that's without add-ons.

Found the issue. Race condition between my X-Box controller and flight flight quadrant. Had to disable one.

Yeah, low surfing animals above the forest desert in Africa nets 90% 4090 and CPU all cores at 70% with 3k resolution.

Main pita for me right now is Tobii. No way to adjust sensitivities without CTD, and opentrack makes the camera judder like Billy-o.

Apparently this was reported during the Alpha preview as well and it was ignored. Not only that but they bragged about partnering with Tobii just 2 weeks ago.
They need to fix their QC on these things. I had low expectations for them, so I still have FS2020, but this is just so avoidable. The sim works just fine when it works, it's just QoL and options and things not working that were working before that are super frustrating now.

I can't load into a flight, tried multiple times, takes 10+ minutes like it's stuck, dev mode says bandwidth is 0.00mbps. I assume this is down to server issues...

Yep, I think the vast majority of issues will trace back to server overload and the internal logic for what should happen when server overload is occurring.   After all we have some having success.  Let's see how things are in a week or three.  My hunch is it will do what they believe it was going to do once the massive assault on servers subsides.

Yes, I was the one who reported it:)

Ive found using OpenTrack is a pretty good solution, so I’m in with Tobii now. At least until I have to start work in about 20mins…

FLC button nose up/nose down in the G1000 is reversed. Nose up should command slower airspeed not faster.

Fuel pressure zero.

Speed tape ranges on G1000 don't match analog airspeed.

I read somewhere that the ground satellite imagery is still same as 2020. Not the updated as advertised. Can someone confirm it?

Does this local rolling cache do anything at all even, 3 times I loaded into KFHR now, takes an eternity to load the bloody airport parking spots even, then when starting another 5 plus minutes before finally loaded and this with something as basic as a 152.  And to add insult to injury ground, building and even cockpit textures are blurry for several minutes still after having waited this long so it's not caching anything clearly and there seems to be no way to have any of this data locally stored at all anymore either, I thought we would have had the option!!

This streaming only thing is a total disaster atm, people have so much storage nowadays, talk about a solution looking for a problem!

- I am suffering from the wandering camera view of doom. My cockpit camera doesn't stay still, it is shifting upwards, slowly but surely. And I cannot look around in the cockpit using the mouse?

- Controllers in the sim cannot be fully unassigned. I am often using my hat switch for trim, but it doesn't seem to be possible to have a blank joystick profile? The "general" (view?) controls cannot be unassigned.

You probably have a noisy controller somewhere else that was automatically assigned?  That's what I had going on with my oldest peripheral, the CH throttle.

Custom camera views are buggy.  Work sometimes, sometimes seem to have pre assigned views that can’t be deleted.
