Is anyone experiencing a big FPS drop? With Frame gen enabled I'm now getting about 25-40 FPS and I have no idea what happened. Even on default planes.

Turn down your settings. On medium/high settings (optimized by Nvidia) I'm getting around 40-60 fps. This is on my Nvidia 3060TI. And with addon airports.

Oh I have done, a full resolution scale down, running everything on medium.  Stutter, stutter, stutter.  It looks like a toy Minecraft mod compared with 2020 (for me, I know results may very)

What resolution?
I have a lesser config and I get 50-60 fps on the ground and 80 fps airborne with FG and the 737 Max. 3440x1440 - Ultra preset - DLSS/DLAA (NO ghosting/blur on glass screens)

Not a single vr fix. They dont care

They do care - but most people that use this sim don't fly in VR.  So it makes sense that they prioritize general bugs and fixes - i'm sure the VR fixes will come in time - but I think it's right to not prioritize them.

I was hoping to be able to disable most of the default aircraft. No joy.

Ha, worked out how to do it with the help of someone in the other forum. Goodbye 90% of my aircraft 🙂

Would you mind sharing how to do it please ?

Not that it could be interesting 🤪

Still a stutter SIM....
That cloud gaming is not for me I guess

Switching from cockpit to outside view and back is a spike of 500mbps every time.
How can a game like this depend on so much streaming ???
Even much much more then MSFS2020

Xbox does not officially support vr, it's well known Microsoft have been retiring services on pc too. So I suspect it's entirely policy /priority based and not limitations of the sim itself?

Despite the above info I know simmers can be very enterprising. Is there anyone with an Xbox who has got vr working, is it even possible?

Xbox doesn't support FSR or DLSS either, so why do we have it?

Xbox doesn't support non-wasm aircraft either, so why do we have it?

Xbox doesn't support external interfacing applications like APLv2, FSE, Vamsys etc, so why do we have it?

I could go on and on.

What does it matter what Xbox can and cannot do?

pretty silly speculatory comment.

Some further reports on the AIG Models: Taxi lights work, but no other lights. No logo lights, no beacon, no position lights. Which is of course quite dangerous at night.

And something seems off with the PBR Materials. At night they look more like dull plastic than metal.

Edit: I just saw a landing aircraft and both logo light and landing lights were working. So it's probably more PSXT that does not always commands the correct lighting states. The lights seem to work as intended. Still haven't seen any Navlights or contrails though.

I wasn’t able to check this update out cause I had to crash for work today. The one thing I wanted to check was if the inibuilds aircraft caused the sim menu to be unclickable after ending a flight and going back to main menu. Would always have to restart the sim after a flight with the a320.

One thing is for sure, they are working very hard, but they are overwhelmed because there is so much work to do.
It looks like they are missing some of the 'promised' features for this patch, so hopefully they can release another one before everyone breaks for the Christmas holiday.

Nobody should be surprised by any of this should they?  This is how Asobo have operated for the last 4+ years...  Fix some things but break others, fix some things that we didn't know were broken but miss ones really needed, fix things not even mentioned on the change log...  It is just their pattern.  We have to live with it unfortunately.

I actually think it is creating tension between Jorg / MS and Asobo, but what can you do?  No good starting again with another franchise.  We just have to work with what we have, but it certainly isn't a good situation currently.  I think this will take a good year to get it to the stability we had with 2020, and on top of that, of course we all know flight simulators are never completely finished anyway.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.
