Is this the euphoria before the uninstall...?😅

Nope, it's the euphoria of MS flight #2... I just hope it doesn't end the same way ir I'll drop flight simulation for good, sell my desktop and buy a cathadioptric telescope again 😁

I have been looking at Run8 Trainsim again, I ran it a few years ago when I took a break from flight sims. The only drag is I would have to buy another Raildriver, because I threw mine out at the time.

He estado mirando Run8 Trainsim de nuevo, lo jugué hace unos años cuando me tomé un descanso de los simuladores de vuelo. El único inconveniente es que tendría que comprar otro Raildriver, porque tiré el mío a la basura en su momento.

I also have Run8 I enjoy it a lot but as I am poor I only use keyboard and mouse !!!!

You’re a passionate man, Jose, the Fernando Pessoa of flight simulation and high-grade optics.

Would be nice if someone can post the main points covered in the session today. Apart from that .. not interested in the back and forth over player numbers and the doomsday vs cheerleeding stuff going on. As one person stated the only thing that matters at the moment is whats going to be fixed and when and whatever featuresets will be added and when.

Previous dev sessions someone was kind enough to give a synopsis. Anyone willing to do that i would be grateful.

Thank You

Id like the same too as I’m not able to watch it.

I'll stick with BATC, it works now.

Bob I’m sure you thought the same thing with the PMDG for years and now you’ve just about dropped it for the ifly.

There’s no harm in giving new things a try before judging it before it’s even out. As you’ve seen for yourself.

WT is a pretty dedicated team and I’m quite eager to see what they can deliver.

I don't doubt it and they have a pretty good reputation, but the state they delivered the MAX at release made me scratch my head, not a little but a lot.

Did Microsobo say anything about fixing the night lightning of the cities/towns? From FL360 on a clear night, these look like someone is pointing a giant flashlight into the sky, horrible.

Sorry don't remember most of it off the top of my head, but a quick overview.

SU1 targeting Feb 18th, should come with marketplace, date not confirmed yet.

WU Brasil - mid march, waiting for marketplace

SU2 expecting late april, date not set yet.

SU3 hoping to be ready for Sim Expo in june.

VRAM bug - claimed to be mostly unoptimized default assets/LODs issue rather than a bug, work ongoing, some initial improvements in SU1, should be resolved by SU2. Seb mentioned going from 8.5GB VRAM to below 7GB in his test after the optimisation pass on assets.

DLSS4 - SU2

VR bug fixes mostly SU2

More people using career mode than free flight is absolutely wild!

Makes perfect sense since it's more a game than a sim. People on Xbox might "play" career mode more for entertainment purposes.

I sometimes do and find it certainly adds some variety to the game.

Totally subjective and certainly varies from PC to PC.

I find the night lighting perfectly acceptable others don't. i don't know how much one can scrutinize it when you can play the game on a TV via. Xbox or a PC with a dedicated computer monitor.

Night lighting has been debated for years but for the most part seems fine.

Is it me or fs2024 is smoother than fs2020 BUT more microstructures when panning in cockpit and all the way from taxi to take off. After take off it’s smooth again until final approach. Than it micro stutters again. 2020 doesn’t have that problem at all

I can take and compare 2020 and 2024 on the same PC and monitor and it's like night and day, no pun intended.

No, it is not stable at all, I only had two CDT today, there are a lot of bugs, vram consumption errors, etc.

I haven't had any crashes in a couple months. Strange.

Its not you but I only notice it with the BlackSquare Duke and not the A2A Comanche on my end. But yes, on the ground I see them but not in the air.
