What is not profane in one language might be in another. Wonder if the check every language.

All this is legally defined as part of the requirements for the E rating. You can safely assume that a AAA game dev like Asobo (remember, they don't only make MSFS) knows how to deal with ratings agencies across the world.

Exactly, like the Austrian town of Fukching

the innocents abroad:

since avsimmers have so many interests, specifically linguistics:

Fugging (German: [ˈfʊkɪŋ] ), spelled word not allowed until 2021, is an Austrian village in the municipality of Tarsdorf, located in the Innviertel region of western Upper Austria. It is 33 km (21 mi) north of Salzburg and 4 km (2.5 mi) east of the Inn river, which forms part of the German border.

Despite a population of only 106 in 2020, the village has drawn attention in the English-speaking world for its former name, which was spelled the same as an inflected form of the vulgar English-language word "word not allowed".[1][2] Its road signs were a popular visitor attraction and were often stolen by souvenir-hunting vandals until 2005, when they were modified to be theft-resistant.

Former name and etymology

170px-City_limit_sign_of_Fucking%2C_Austria.jpg The village of word not allowed in August 2015, with the frequently-stolen traffic sign before the name change.

The settlement is believed to have been founded in the 6th century AD by Focko, a Bavarian nobleman. The Austrian region during this century was mostly under the domain of the Kingdom of the Ostrogoths and was populated by a mix of Christians and pagans. The existence of the village was documented for the first time in 1070, and historical records show that some 20 years later, the lord was recorded in Latin as Adalpertus de Fucingin. The spelling of the name, which is pronounced with the English language vowel oo as in book,[5] evolved over the years; it is first recorded in historical sources as Vucchingen in 1070, as Fukching in 1303,[6] as Fugkhing in 1532, and in the modern spelling word not allowed in the 18th century.[7] The ending -ing is an old Germanic suffix indicating the people belonging to the root word to which it is attached, thus word not allowed means "(place of) Focko's people"

Guys/gals - what am I missing? In latest Beta 1, I add a custom tail number in the EFB yet all the aircraft I load has the same American tail number (Nxxxxx).

What is the proper way of creating your own tail number?

You should be able to set seat height in the options.  Or maybe this was only in 2020.

I have found this does not raise the seat height sufficiently if the view is too low.

So what are they gonna do about custom liveries with realistic registration that goes against their profanity filter?....oh yeah that's right, nothing!

You have no idea how it will be handled.

It is fairly obvious isn't it?  How can they stop a repaint with the registration painted on in the texture?  Use optical character recognition?

The thing is about these, they will be totally custom and added by the user, so there will be know liability issues for MS / Asobo, plus no other people should see them anyway, just the user.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Via a PC (store purchased FS2024), - I am trying to join the SU 01 Beta via the Xbox Insider pathway, & am stuck at Save/Manage - nothing is coming up for "Registration'. Any advice on what to do next?

Thanks

How long did you wait after opting in and hitting Save? It did take a while for me, let it sit for a while

Maybe wait for the release of SU1, which they said would be "soon" (IMO early next week)?

This Simulator is just sick from beginning to the end so for me the disaster still goes on, can not belive why still people have the patience to fool around with that NEW Simulator..E

I have plenty of patience with MS2024 -- there are still bugs, but there has been major improvement since its release. Thanks to the incredible ground scenery and other advances in this sim, it affords me an immersion experience well beyond what MS2020 (a great simulator for its time) has to offer. In short, I have moved on, and having a blast!

What I do NOT have the " patience to fool around with", is wildly exaggerated, ridiculous statements that make no sense whatever.

Left it on Manage for 2 hours after hitting Save, then started FS2024 & it said there was an update, so loaded that & the C185 was in the line up. Perhaps it registered in the background?

It is currently broken.. but start at the airplane selection screen and select Configure / identification.

Enter it there and save.

I have over 500 hours in it with only 3-4 crashes since launch, so there's no need for patience because it works (for me). There's no fooling around needed.

Thanks you, it's what I have done but didn't realize it was broken.
