there will be a place to discuss that with like minded people. Search for 'flat earth' or 'we didn't go to the moon'.

Didn't they just release a city update for both sims? When I look into your post history, I seriously think you need to touch some grass.

Oh please stop, it is not about "agreeing or disagreeing with point of view". There is no "point of view" in regard of scientifically proven facts. This is one of the todays idiocracies in internet forums etc, each and every no-brainer has an opinion or a "point of view". Prior to the internet time, such people would have arrived with their "point of view" e.g. in the local pub and the reaction would have been million times stronger than what you can read nowadays in a forum.

Doesn’t mean you have to call him names or insinuate he isn’t technically capable, just because you don’t like what he says. If you did that In the local pub you’re talking about, you’d probably get hit.

I mean is this really someone you figure is going to come here and discuss in good faith?

I never said I agree or disagree with him, the point I am making is, why pick on him? No need.

Keyboard warriors is the term I’m looking for, a lot of those around. You can agree or disagree with someone’s opinion, fine. But to start picking one someone because you disagree with their point of view? That’s just bullying, whether that’s in real life, the pub, or an internet forum. There is no need ever for personal insults, or insulting someone’s ability to do something.

Geez I would not want to be one of the ones crazy enough to find out. They have said MS2024 only in which implies its for MS2024 only. I'm still on 2020 but I'm not going to try that.

"Crazy enough to find out"?  You do realize this is just a computer game/sim, right?  I have TONS of add-ons that say they are made for 2020 only (many of them created before 2024 was even a thing) - yet they work perfectly well in my installation of MSFS2024.  I guess if I find an airport that causes a conflict, I might have to deal with a visual glitch... or... (and I shudder to say this)... a sim crash.

For the record, my favorite 3rd party aircraft to fly in MSFS2024 is the A2A Comanche - which is not officially compatible with '24.  Not saying it always works the other way, but I suspect the majority of airports created for MSFS2024 will work ok in MSFS2020.

A2A has a patch for 2024.

Actually this aircraft is what made me buy 2024 because if the decision had been made to defend it from Asobo's aircraft I wouldn't have lasted 15 minutes installed from the real disaster that is 2024 but the performance improvement in my system and being able to fly A2A made me pay the 40 euros that the 2024 licence cost me.

And by the way, when you quote me don't edit  the quote before quoting me,trying to prove some ridiculous point you are trying to make.

The only thing I edited was shortening the statement. I did not change the meaning of it nor did I modify the cited part.

While I basically agree on the principles of your statement, there are exceptions. Maybe for a plump conspiracy theory, we went over the top (including me), but there are certainly "opinions" that need calling out and naming those that spread it. Call it bullying if you want, but those "opinions" are sometimes even worth a law-suit in certain countries. Just saying. In no country the "freedom of expression/opinion" is absolute, this is a fact, whether one likes it or not.

Yup and the same applies here at Avsim, so I’m not sure why the moderators let it slide as much as they do. They get more annoyed when someone tries to slip a swear word in.

Yes you did, but I doubt if you can even figure that out.

Then whose videos does he use to demonstrate his points?

He doesn't seem to have produced any videos to prove anything as far as I can see. Not even the Stars and Stripes fluttering in the breeze...on the moon...

Well, he opened this thread and he stated some crazy stuff about flags on the moon. He very obviously disqualified himself for any discussion. This is not picking on him for some disagreement. Honestly, the idea that one could "disagree" on basic facts like the moon landing is ridiculous.

Somewhere during this thead it was written that 2024 gears more towards gaming. Heck, even 2020 still had - although not many, but still - around 5 failures per (default) plane and some few more for multi engine planes (not even to mention the competitor with its more than 500 failures-datarefs). In 2024 even these few were ditched.

I don't know, MSFS 2020 works pretty well right now. Do we really want to risk them breaking a bunch of stuff trying to fix something? Because REGRESSION is their specialty.
