I have plenty of fantasy aircraft, the one's I've actually flown I like to try and keep as real as they were 😉 Well, mine wasn't too shabby, I had a Garmin 375, not as big a display, but fully capable, when flying I kept an iPad Pro on my knee running ForeFlight, that gave me a BIG display of the airspace around me. Only thing I was lacking was a good autopilot, but I flew local and didn't really need it. Unlike the sim, its just a joy to hand fly. Edited July 3, 2025Jul 3 by jfv Jack F. July 3, 2025Jul 3 I only took it on a quick flight last night, but I think it's very nice. The texturing especially on the exterior is excellent, and I love the little details like the static wicks on the trailing edges of the surfaces which flutter about in the wind and with the vibrations. The handling also seems really nice. I have a lot of time in real PA28s, albeit the less powerful Warrior and Archer rather than the Dakota, and it feels very authentic to me. Its responsiveness to rudder seems pretty accurate and I was able to do a very nice crosswind landing with it onto the upwind wheel first. To me at least, it seems to handle nicer (at least closer to the real thing) than the Just Flight PA28s even after the updates, which still seem to drop like a brick when you get close to the runway. PA28s with the taper wing are pretty floaty on landing. I liked their Archer in 2020, and I often thought, if I had a bit more power and a descent autopilot that would round it off for me. I never knew the Dakota would fit the bill. I never knew much about it before this really. Loving the paints coming out for it as well. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). Saw this earlier and thought - gee, crossfill has worked flawlessly for me ever since TDS released it. If the word that popped into your head when you read this was "foreshadowing", you'd be right. Flew the Grand Duke from KJAC to KMYL this afternoon and, of course, for the first time ever crossfill didn't work between the 750 and 650. No idea what caused it to fail, it just... wasn't working. July 3, 2025Jul 3 Anybody else having resolution issues with the Dakota? The 210 panel is pretty as ca be but the Dakota seems to have less texture quality? Is that because it's free?

Let me be more specific maybe....when I zoom in around the C210/BE33/C182 cockpit instruments, they seem to be at a higher resolution than the P28B. The cockpit textures, as in the trim and vinyl are standard, but the gauge faces are less...no?

July 4, 2025Jul 4 How'd you get the 750 into the Dakota's panel? Is that TDS or PMS? Thanks. Edited July 4, 2025Jul 4 by James Callan
July 4, 2025Jul 4 Hi, I can't use the AP HDG with this aircraft. I don't know why the direction in the display don't correspond with the actual direction (sometimes indicates the opposite direction!). AP NAV works correctly. Anyone else? Thanks in advance.
