WASM API

  • Fixed call to execute_calculator_code causing ctd
  • Fixed WASI fd_write function returning an error when unable to write the requested number of bytes
  • Fixed WASI fd_pwrite function missing conversion of iovs & nwritten pointers from linear memory to host memory (could lead to crashes)
  • Fixed WASI fd_read function returning an error when unable to read the requested number of bytes
  • Fixed WASI fd_pread function missing conversion of iovs & nread pointers from linear memory to host memory (could lead to crashes)
  • Fixed fsVarsEnvironmentVarGet in Vars API

Should hopefully resolve most of the WASM crashes, particularly the last one which has been spotted to cause majority of them.

This would be pending the devs of the products pushing updates after recompiling using the latest sdk right ?

On the official forums, reports are WASM planes are still a no go at the moment

Jetways and external lights (always on) still broken but those aren't really deal breakers for me.

I haven't tested PMDG/CRJ so no idea if they work now or not.

Did a quick flight in the Fenix and my performance seems to have improved yet again. Previously I had AutoFPS TLOD+ 100 on the ground and now after the latest update I just stays at 200 and higher frames than before at 100 - no idea how. Loaded into KDEN with full AI traffic and got a steady 90-100 FPS with TLOD 200. Incredible! Nights look so much better now too!

Way to go MS!!

Go back to SU3. Don't use a beta version. Wait for the final release.

And already the debate has started: Lights too bright! No, not bright enough! Needs more depth-of field! No! Don't do that! etc....... (The usual)

Ima' just go and fly.

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

Well if no one says anything nothing would get changed, so the more opinions expressed during beta the better the chance of further tweaks and fixes.

Anyway another nice round of potential performance optimisations, night lighting looks improved via the screenshots I've seen, lack of VR fixes a worry as those severe mouse/controller issues must be fixed ASAP.

Will have a fly tonight and see what's what.

Just quickly installed the latest beta before getting ready for work and disappointed two 'bugs' are still not fixed:

1. The jetways still do not work and report bad data.  Did Asobo attempt to fix or improve something to do with the jetways and broken it?

2. Hardware settings in the controllers still does not work so no adjustments possible.  Again did any previous change notes mention attempts to improve the controllers?

Not sure why either of the above now fail if they have not mentioned those elements in the change logs

I don’t see why you’d need to recompile as it worked before and is now claiming to be fixed. Though if I’m wrong I redact my statement.

Shame about what’s being encountered on the official forum. I’ve yet to test.

The fix is listed under the SDK portion so it might mean that the changes made in the sim now align with the new sdk therefore will need a recompile, but I'm just assuming at this stage.
