I do hope we'll be getting some of that sweet 80's synth music along with the challenges tho, I'll play it just for that!

I don’t see our healthy debate and crossing of ideas as “drama”. @SeedyL knows I love him like a brother! He’s brought up good points! I think we all can agree that we’ve seen leaps and bounds in Flight Simulators in the last 6 years compared to the last 20.

 No progress ever comes with little regressions that when you aggregate still equal a net positive to all of us.

If you're not interested in Stranger Things, it's not even necessary to disable it; you can simply choose not to claim it from the Marketplace at all, just like every other add-on product from the MP that isn't to your personal tastes.

It actually works the other way round. Orbx would have had to pay a licensing fee to whoever makes this drivel.

That's how George Lucas was able to sell the rights to Star Wars (and other lucrative properties) to Disney for $4 billion some 35 years after the release of the original film.

You seem to be projecting a lot and it's both unnecessary and proves you have no constructive or intelligent input. I am a real world licensed pilot with a successful career. Stay in school kid. 

Hope everyone enjoys the new content. I'm sure we'll see more of it pending popularity. Best wishes to MS upon release. Oh, and one thing that is a positive, the Taog Huey...his team does make great products.

Awesome! I cant wait to ignore these terrible product placements. This is seriously a waste of time, Asobo. Move the stranger things to a different product. Take that team you wasted and place them somewhere that helps with fixing the sim.

well, I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and apologize for assuming you’re not a pilot. 

But then that does leave us with the question of why such an august aviator & experienced businessman as yourself can’t separate the wheat from the chaff when it comes to absolutely unimpactful features for the sim…?

After all, most of us IRL pilots with successful careers don’t seem to have the same problem. 😉

If there’s one thing that engaging with the community of this hobby has taught me, it’s that pilots are no more or less intelligent than the general population. You’re just blending mental mediocrity with arrogance here.

There will be far more MSFS2024 users who will try out and want this than people who consider it pointless and stupid like yourself. Maybe 95% to 5% (if I had to guess). Therefore they made the right decision and I agree with you that for me it's pointless and I don't want it!

If they catered solely to avsim users and what they need - the sim would have shutdown a year after MS2020 launched because sales would not match costs.

And if it's the straight up Taog UH-1 it's actually a nice addon.

Although I dont really care about adding stranger things (of which I never heard before this thread)  I can understand that some players dont want the sim to be cluthered with thing that are not flight sim related.  Just as a lot of people hate bloatware on a new lap top or cell phone.
