This has to be the greatest instructional video I have ever seen. I wish A330 driver would take a leaf out of this instructor's book and go to the same lengths to explain why things are done the way they are. A 1,000% must watch

  • Ground handling is great. It definitely feels heavy, but the nosewheel is far forward and the main gear assists the steering so it handles tight corners rather well. I feel like the 747 does this as

So first flight with the A380 - and I love it. It's in an astonishingly well state, even more so considering it's iniBuilds. It feels so good when handflying or taxiing. It's pure fun

I'm running into one significant issue with this plane and it seems like others are reporting it on discord too now. I noticed when flying into OMDB this evening on the rollout, the A380 had terrible stutters when slowing down. I mean absolutely terrible. For comparison, I had a replay of the flight and was able to reproduce it each time I manually landed the plane. Not sure what's up with this on landing. I loaded up the PMDG 777 and replayed the same landing and there were no stutters. Video for reference:

Can those with throttle issues confirm they are all using the thrustmaster controls?

Using the winwing/winctrl set myself, I simply copied the profile I already had in place for the FBW A380X, went in-sim to set up the detents etc, and had no issue at all, was actually very easy and for me that is quite a rarity lol

Glad it' not just me. I also have the thrustmaster airbus throttles.

My guess is those stutters come from the sims precaching setting. It is probably not set correctly for the amount of VRAM/RAM available.

206, 210, 214, 80 & 12

80 is not a proper stand it’s In middle of a taxiway

But it can fit a 380

thank you so much!

I believe they like to use 206 where possible. But other stands that can take it are: 210, 214, and the original stand: 12.

really helpful, thank you!

Basically the last ones missing are the complete NEOS and the A330. I mean actually good A330's, not the Aerosoft trash.

and an A318 so I can do London City :) ?

Will the A380 follow a VNAV profile without issues?

Absolutely. This is an outstanding aircraft.

Hmmm ... mixed bag here.

All in all the plane is very well done from the modelling point and all the "software systems" like MCDUs, OIT etc.

However I also get stutters during departure and approach. These are not the "normal" stutters, something else, but I can't describe it.

What really made me upset now: I started a flight with the Fenix between and now, the A380 doesn't load any more. (Coincidence or not with the Fenix, can't say - hopefully it is).
Take endless to load, if so, I get just 5 to 10 FPS. sim have been restarted during sessions of course

Cleared WORK folder, started again on runway ... very long loading ... same low FPS.
Restarted PC, same.

Wanted to diable the A380 now in the Markeplace: Sim crashes! 🙁
Why do iniBuilds planes always do have so much trouble with WASM crashes or other stupid things?
Never have a crash with any other addon.

Aaah sorry, this is not iniBuilds fault!!!

I "accidently" enabled smooth motion in the grafics driver during the Fenix flight. That was the culprit, sorry

I got the same stutters landing at EGLL. Could it be the auto zoom into the airport on the ND is causing this?

Theres is quite a long topic on the discord about this, from memory I think they recommended to sign in and out of the efb and the charts.

Hmm, can you try cycling apps on your EFB and OIT?

Particularly charts. You using LIDO by any chance?

Also if you're using NAVIGRAPH simlink, try turning it off and on again.

If that also doesn't work, try opening your CONSOLE. I believe it's under TOOLS on the dev menu at the top.

Use AutoFPS with gradual decrease of TLOD, while you descend to any complex airport. My settings for TLOD are 300 to 50 from 5000ft to touchdown.
