Somebody already used the jump ahead feature? How is it?

Looks very impressive! Glad that iniBuilds continue to embrace MSFS's CFD tech in their flight models, having started early since the 2020 days. If there ever was a need for 2024's detailed aircraft g

I did FAOR to EGLL yesterday. Here are my thoughts:
- visual model interior and exterior is stunning
- both the flight deck and cabin are really well done
- throttle calibration is a bit of a mess; I tried using a four axis throttle (two of the Thrustmasters put together) and also tried a two-axis throttle (assigning two engines to each thrust lever). There were a number of issues here with the detents etc,
- flying model is really nice
- brake to vacate didn't work for me at all (clicking on the taxiway didn't bring up the BTV as it does on the A350).
- the biggest issue for me is that the jump ahead features is a TOTAL MESS. After jumping, I was in a dive, autopilot disconnected and I really struggled to get back control.

Oh no, bad news for me, as this is one of the features I wanted to use regularly on the A380 and hoping that it will be included into v2 of the A350...

For BTV to work you need to first select (click on) the end of the runway you are landing on and then select your BTV exit. It is different than the A350 in that regard. I had trouble calibrating too with my Thrustmaster but I think I finally sorted it out by ensuring that all four throttle axis were assigned in MSFS control settings and then calibrating using the 4 axis option. I hope this helps. I am really very impressed with this plane!

I found out the same on my initial flight. This is the way to go. For my Thrustmaster I just used the same control profile I had set up for the FBW 380.

agreed, I did a LHR-SIN last night and taking it down to SYD now. The throttles gates are an issue, another than that. its great.

there you go some good news and praise where its due.

This also sounds really promising for future ini developments. Hoping that they will build a high-quality regional jet or prop. Maybe Embraer E190 or a Q400?

the head of the company did say they'd be expanding more outside airbuses.

They do have a Bombardier Global 6000 in development.

That is not surprising, there are hardly any (if any at all?) Airbuses left to be done at this point. 😆

RE the throttle gates, Instead of using "Throttle Axis 1" use "Throttle Axis 1, 0 to 100%" Also, I'm going to try the 4 axis thing suggested above...using 2 axis only moved 2 levers, so I assigned Throttle 1 & 2 to one lever in MSFS and 3 & 4 on the other.

My biggest issue is....the thing is not easy to actually fly lol. I get that it has mass, but good lord, this plane just reiterates that I'm a Boeing guy, through and through haha. It truly is a very strange hand flying airplane, if anyone has any suggestions/techniques.

Great job Inibuilds. On a lighter note on the upper deck there is a feature in the lounge panel Music System Auto which you can turn on. Nice feature. It doesn't appear to be controllable in the 3 zones though. Can I put my own music files somewhere? Nice lounge music but I'd like to mix it up. Also, will the zones be implemented at some point?

I'm glad that iniBuilds jumped on the CFD bandwagon early on as it was introduced in MSFS, and were always quick to adopt new flight dynamics tools and techniques as MS/Asobo introduced them in later 2020 SUs and especially in 2024. It helps that they're a premier partner dev of MS/Asobo of course. Even though some of their earlier aircraft offerings might've lacked in systems (for a high fidelity class aircraft when compared to the likes of Fenix) they've always delivered great flight dynamics IMO using the core sim FDE, and now seem to have put together a great experience for flight physics in the A380 based on all the feedback I'm hearing/seeing. This also bodes well for the A350 v2.

That said, for those of you who have it what are your thoughts on ground handling and the ground<->air transition? TIA.

Ground handling is great. It definitely feels heavy, but the nosewheel is far forward and the main gear assists the steering so it handles tight corners rather well. I feel like the 747 does this as well, with the main bogey steering.

Rotation is probably the best in the sim. You pull, and it settles into the main gear before getting airborne. It feels really good.

I wasn't joking when I said that this is probably the best airliner in the sim. INI has changed flightsim, you can't do any of this without them.

It's stunning and one of the smoothest releases we've had. The only real question I have on it so far, do the external cabin lights work? It seems very dark...

Can some kind soul confirm which gate(s) the aircraft uses at Manchester please. I notice it is no longer gate 12.
