  1. Past hour
  2. Excellent! Some breath-taking expanses. I like the way the low sun angle highlighted the tracks in the runway snow.
  3. Which kind of is exactly what happend 20 years ago when ATC was first introduced into Microsoft Flightsimulator. They programmed FAA phraseology and ignored that this is just valid for the U.S. and not for the rest of the world. Which gives you all kinds of headaches. Even down to the way callsigns are used. In FAA rules you can group, like 1634 can be called sixteen fourteen, but in the rest of the world under ICAO rules you have to name all numbers on their own as one, six, tree, four.
  4. Aah memories, my first QXC involved following a rail track for 40 miles and a few years ago I was flying along the north somerset coast and spotted below a steam train...just had to get low and take it in. So yea rail activity would be cool. (BTW the steam train was only about 5 years ago in case anyone thinks im even older than I look/feel😁)
  5. Do you have a default region selected in Config? That region will be used if P2A can't find a proper region otherwise. Dave
  6. It sometimes spews out gibberish, but all AI voices are prone to do that, it's not an issue with BATC.
  7. The data for B737 is available (37+/-4 pounds for pitch, 12+/-3 pounds for roll at the yoke handle rim). I never saw it for the planes you've mentioned (except for +/- 52 kG for ATR 42/72 emergency CAP/ FO pitch channel disconnect).
  8. The clouds in the tornado shot in the 2024 trailer look nice, if inaccurate for a storm cell.
  9. Well, actually, I think around 25 op 45 characters or so...! 😏 BTW already people are starting to moan about ATC not understanding them or talking nonsense or giving too much instructions and of course all that extra talk costs you money with previous voices...! Curious to see how long people will keep on using them.
  10. Hi Folks I have noticed that when I'm in the Caribbean (I mainly flight out of TJSJ San Juan Puerto Rico airport) ATCChatter doesn't work. I'm using the Regions controllers folders, it only happens when I'm in the islands in the Caribbean on other places it works fine. Any idea what I need to do, if I open the FS-ATC-Chatter Application it works fine, but for the P2ATC ATCChatter doesn't. Thanks for any help/guidance I'm using P2ATC version 2.7.0.x My FS-ATC-Chatter library is up to date
  11. It saved 0,000078 Premium-Characters 😄
  12. Had a chance to just quickly jump into the cockpit and take a look around over my lunch break. It is nice to have my beloved DA-50RG in MSFS now but my first disappointment was to discover that Skyward didn't model the GCU479 keypad unit that folds out of the centre armrest. It would be excellent if they they could add it in a future update but I'm not expecting them to.
  13. Question, are these going to be released as a set (piston & turbine) or individually ? Have they said the price, I think I ready $39 but maybe that was speculation.
  14. I've been using pro-ATC for ages now and I'm looking for something to replace it with. It's a bit clunky, abandoned (which everybody knew was going to happen from day one) and after many flights the limited sets of voices so get a bit old. HOWEVER, it handles the "meat and potatoes" of ATC fairly well and allows a degree of flexibility when things go wrong or when real world procedures don't necessarily comply with the algorithm (e.g ask for a runway with taliwind). I considered FSHUD but I read in has performance/stutter issues and I don't see what it will improve upon ( I'm happy with default atc + aiflow/ AIground controlling AI). At this point, BATC has nice voices but it lacks in core functions in comparison. I wonder if Radar Contact can work with MSFS. This program was made almost 20 years ago and I believe is freeware now. As far as core ATC goes its on par if not better than anything that's out there, just not sure about its MSFS compatibility.
  15. Was noted in the beta but ignored. IIRC the dev found it easier to program one instruction instead of adding a few possible ones. Also had to do (again IRCC) with FAA and ICAO differences.
  16. Just a thought......but if you continue to allow ASCA/REX to do it's thing, surely it overides any cloud formations that were there before? Have you checked that the default weather settings are at "Clear Skies" ?
  17. Re; Trimming -- I agree. What I am seeking are the forces involved when manually moving the yoke through its normal roll and pitch ranges. I might end up having to contact the mfg'rs to see if they are willing to provide these data -- an iffy plan. Thus my effort to see if they already exist somewhere on the net/ Thanks for your response though! Brian
  18. From Page 155 of the same document: "In the airport environment, the word ‘cleared’ shall only be used in connection with a clearance to take-off or land. To aid clarity, a take-off clearance will always be issued separately." Since BATC clears for lineup and takeoff in the same instruction: "Wind 040 at 3, runway 23L, lineup and cleared for takeoff". So nope.
  19. It doesn't have a VR panel, so the only way to interact with it is to awkwardly peek from under headset onto the screen and use the mouse to select any option on the FSHud window like requesting a different altitude. The window also keeps disappearing randomly, so I have a joystick button mapped to show/hide the FSHud window that I need to press every now and then to get it back on the screen to be able to use other joystick buttons to select an option. It's fully button controlled; the mouse is only needed for more complex interaction like requesting a different altitude. Simple operation like requesting takeoff clearance can be done with a button press. @FSHud I sent you a reply to the support ticket the other day with CPU usage figures for FSHud btw.
  20. Makes me want to weep. Same place, same time. MSFS used to be able to display the second image. MSFS REX
  21. OK, I understand. But who is saying MSFS can "do everything"? My point was, and is, that MSFS opens the way to unlimited possibilities for experiencing the world virtually in myriad ways, which we will see unfolding over time.
  22. Don't understand what's the problem assigning it through the controller assignment menu ( or section rather)? Configuring Controllers in Microsoft Flight Simulator (youtube.com)
  23. Today
  24. Whichever way you look at it Asobo made some blunders along the way, like every single game developer they're not perfect and they're entitled to learn from those mistakes and hopefully that learning will come with MSFS2024. It's just a shame that they continually need the public to shout at them before the realise "what's wrong" - see recent Q&A regarding DX12 textures for a prime example of them not understanding their user base. Fact is SU5 cloud graphical quality was reduced, fact is SU7 changed the weather & cloud depiction and not for the better (at that period in time), fact is this subject has been brought up countless times and I still get dragged into it because I remember the past whilst others pretend it never happened ☺️
