PMDG 777 tied to SU15?
carlanthony24 replied to Nikitos2024's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
It has already been done in flight sim. A guy uses this sheet its outdated but apparently the CL650 passed on the tests the person did. -
Console and PC are on separate branches. They’d have to be since PC has more options than console
-
I mean, that would make the most sense, wouldn’t it?
-
They are not completely different versions.... This is why I wish they had (2) FULLY separate builds....Xbox is holding PC users back...

PMDG 777 tied to SU15?

This is interesting, I think this will be adding a whole differnent level to IFR flights. -
PMDG 777 tied to SU15?
carlanthony24 replied to Nikitos2024's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
"Many many developers beat us to using Navigraphs new format, but part of the time lag for us was the implementation of the entire ARINC 424/PANS-OPS with full compliance for all leg types. This is a pretty significant change, and while many developers have been reading the ARINC 424 for some time, they aren't actually doing the full suite of path computations with associated control logic to ensure the airplane complies with the defined path for specific procedural legs." Apparently they will be the first to do the full suite of path computations with associated control logic. -
Cpt_Piett started following SU 15 postponed again?

This thread is making me dizzy haha 😵💫 I’ve not noticed any performance degradation over the last beta versions, and I certainly haven’t noticed any LOD changes. Not saying it ain’t true though. As for the Xbox/PC same version vs different versions. Why would they reduce TLOD if there are separate versions? Great if the dreaded DX12-bug is gone though, good riddance!

Flight plan does not display on MFD (G1000)
vonmar replied to Jarnie's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
I did your plan. You flight plan is only 9 miles, correct? Best to do another longer route to check the G1000 out. Magenta route line is shown ok but ATRET is blocking some of it. -

Fenix Autobrake Disconnect Upon Landing
polosim replied to simmerluke's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Before 20 KT AUTO BRK.............................................................................................. DISENGAGE Disengage the autobrake to avoid some brake jerks at low speed. The flight crew should use brake pedals to disengage the autobrake. -
Great tip! And I guess if the “on top” or whatever it’s called option is on, it won’t make FG or g-sync go inactive when quickly checking the window. An iPad version would be awesome.

The elephant in the room is the single development branch for both pc and Xbox. Xbox is a walled garden. There are no sliders. The only graphics setting is a single button for HDR.

Old Orchard (aka: ORD), United, and Me ... (20 Pics) ...
John F replied to P_7878's topic in The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Nice shots. So instead of waiting until after your Orlando trip to relive it in the sim, this time you have chosen to pre-live it! 🙂 -
Requires implementation by devs on every individual plane. Very few actually have it implemented, the only ones I know of for sure are the C172 and the inibuilds A300. So you probably aren't going to get a lot of info on this at this point.

Yikes, I used to very fluent in editing afcads for FSX but that was 15 years ago. AIFP for editing flightplans though.

The Kodiak is not a heavy aircraft, for sure. But I’ve flown much lighter aircraft IRL in much stronger winds. So it seemed excessive when considering the wind strength of 7kts. I’ve said before that turbulence seems better with 8888, but I’m starting to reconsider that. Sorry, I don’t understand. The turbulence slider in ASFS?

Is the Tire Friction Improved? How much?

I also agree. Best performance of the latest betas. Looks like there is much less load on the GPU after they fixed the DX12 bleeding issues.

Flight plan does not display on MFD (G1000)
Jarnie replied to Jarnie's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
YES there is. I now assume that is the reason why there is no line drawn FROM Departure airport only a white line at the start of the approach path followed by a magenta line. Is this because I did NOT select an 'arrivals'? On the MSFS flight plan page it displays the entire path(s) but not in the FPL. Can I still 'fly' the flightplan using manual headings until I intercept the white line at the start of the approach (and then swap to AP and APR)? Can't work out how to save the flight plan. This is the FlightPlan (manually) Departure airport YSBK (any parking) Arrival Airport YSSY (it normally automatically selects RWY 34L) Select Low Level Airways Leave Departures set at Direct Leave Arrivals set at Direct Set Approach to ILS 34L That's it. BTW how can I include/insert and image in my posts? [added slightly later) the MORE 'tab' has appeared and now can select SAVE (flight plan) HOWEVER how do I attach it to my post? [added later again) Searching for MANSEQ I find the following which explains more https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/manseq/447704 - Yesterday

Sure. Does the full range still exist? So if you manually edited in TLOD of 500 you would see equivalent to 400 pre this SU15 version, or no?
-
Sounds plausible, except for an elephant in this room: what's to prevent using scaling sliders to give access to the full range of TLOD for all users, from Xbox S to PC Extreme? What's in it for MS to force people with high end hardware not to be able to use it? Makes no business sense that I can see. Saying it's so Xbox S users won't feel bad seems ludicrous. Worst case is the sim knows which platform it's running on, and adjusts the range accordingly.
-
Would you just make adjustment with the slider? 🙂
-
I would try the same scenario in different airplanes, heavier MSFS default airplanes. it seems as if this Kodiak doesn't have enough inertia. that METAR doesn't show any turbulence whatsoever.

Agreed
