Hi all, this is my first post in this forum and I just tumbled over that cool looking and surely highly exelent tool LINDA. I used to design Scenery for FSX but got sucked into the DCS series. I am looking for a driver for all my saitek panels and switch panels to use it in DCS. There is a tool to assign keystrokes to buttons for the Saitek Flight Yoke, Throttle Quadrant, and the pedals but you can't assign the switch panel because it is not seen by the program. So my question is: Dear developer, I would pay money to get a tool like Linda for the DCS series from EagleDynamics. This tool looks so wonderfull and has not to be that fancy as it is right now for FSX. I just want a tool which has access to the switch panel and that you can assign keystrokes to the switches, not more. The radio panel and the multipanel is not of any use in DCS FC3, but maybe in Black Shark and A10C. I do not want to advertise for the DCS Series but I want to use my Saitek stuff for it. From the helpdesk at MAdcats I just got a swap over to ED that they should take care of programming a suitable driver for it. So if anybody Is able to help me out it would be much appriciated. Hello AVSIM!! I just bought FLIGHT last night and I'm loving it!So I try to start Flight today with my wired xbox controller and doesn't control the game anymore. The game recognizes it in the drop down box but when I try to map a button to it, the game doesn't respond. Its clearly not receiving commands from my controller. The controller cannot navigate the menu at all. And when flying, none of the buttons do anything except the left joystick. the left joystick is the only function that seems to have remained.I tried both my wireless and wired controller. restarting, unplugging, and run as admin but to no avail. Same thing for both. Does the same thing with 3 different wireless controllers and the one wired controller.any suggestions to get this gamepad to work again? thanks very much, and thanks AVISM for having a Microsoft flight dedicated forum! -
Hello! I need a controller for FSX and stuff to fly the things I always and usually only fly (Boeings and Cessnas)... Please tell me what I should get for the controller. As for addons, I already know I want --- FTX ORBX Global REX 4 texture Direct Active Sky Next Thats 179 dollars right there....If I get the X55 Hotas, I wont have a problem with getting that and those 3 addons, Or, I can get Saitek pro flight yoke + throttle (the one it comes with) Saitek Pro flight Rudder Pedals FTX REX 4 ASN That will cost around 450$ I have 290, But in like One month I will have ATLEAST 390...EITHER way I have to wait til the end of this month to get anything. So what makes more sense for me? A yoke or a joystick? is the saitek yoke nice, no lag, good quality, feel real? I can just get the Yoke, Rudder, EXTRA throttle to have two and a swtich panel but no addons so FSX wont look good....Should I just do that? So lets count that.... What should i get??? Thanks -

Hello, I am using P3Dv4.5 with Thrustmaster MFD controllers. I use it to set my cockpit views with EZDOK and my 2D panel through P3D. I am able to assign any panel until the window number is < 9. The FMS of one of my aircraft is set as Window_13. I cannot find a way to assign this panel to a key of my controller... any idea? thanks in advance Bruno

I am using Pilot2ATC v.2.7.0.0_x64_Beta6D with X-Plane, both for IFR and VFR. Great program! I have the problem, that in Germany this year the controller names of smaller airports are changing from INFO to RADIO. I have the ATC Settings "Info Acts as Tower" activated. Is working fine for INFO frequencies, but not for RADIO. Examples are EDWR and EDXP where the names are already changed. The job of the controllers is still the same. Question 1: Is it possible to also make an option for RADIO acts as Tower during the running Beta? Question 2: Where does P2A get the names and frequencies for the airport controllers from? Not from the apt.dat files of the different custom sceneries or the global scenery. I tried to change it there. But P2A ignores the changes. Othe Addons such as LittleNavmap read the (changed) frequencies/Names from the apt.dat files.... It would be great to get an answer from you, Dave 😊

Hi guys Is there a UK equivalent to desktopaviator usb boards (http://www.desktopaviator.com/Pages/Boards/index.html) I know they post to the UK but I would rather purchase locally (so i don't have to pay import charges and wait weeks for delivery etc) I have used a broken down xbox 360 controller and 2 pc game controllers but the wiring is a nightmare. I would like to tidy it up if possible Thanks Phil -
Hi,I have a question about using an analog controller with FSX (a PS3 controller). My right analog stick is mapped to the View axis (up/down/right/left). This works fine except the behaviour is not what I exactly want. For example when I pull the stick to the right the view goes to the right (hooray), but when I release the stick the view goes back tot the center. What I would I want is that the view, in this example, stays on the right. Is there any way I can accomplish this?Thanks in advance,Thomas

Taking a flyer here: I've been using my PS5 controller for drone camera control for some months now. Works really nice for sitting back and looking around in the external (drone) view. With this update, the controller doesn't show up in the Controls section. That's it. No wireless controller, as it was identified, is seen. I've looked through the internets and found a single other person with this controller with the same problem. He was on the flight sim forum and had received no replies. Any thoughts? Are they mad I'm using a controller that isn't X-box? Highly annoying. I'm sure it's not the controller nor PC since I'm using it for Skyrim and whatnot.

Hi, After a 2 year break from FSX, 5/6 months ago I decided to get back in again. I purchased FSX:SE, but soon found that my Saitek Cyborg X was well and truly broken (Constant spiking of nearly every axis). I was somewhat unimpressed with how my Saitek product lasted, and as an avid racing fan and owning the Logitech G27 as well as various other Logitech products, and with their reputation for quality I brought the Extreme 3D Pro, to tie me over. Whilst I am incredibly impressed by the Logitech - the only thing I dislike is the little throttle, I feel as though this is not realistic, and I struggle to get a full grasp of what my aircraft is doing. I mainly fly the PMDG NGX and the A2A C172, both of which are amazing aircraft, and they both use a yoke. So I'd like to know what is the best controller I can get ? I am currently learning to be a private pilot, so realism is key, but what is the best? My budget isn't huge, but I'm willing to pay for quality. I see saitek are the front runners, but with my previous experiences I'm not overly confident. I look forward to your help! Kind Regards George Hunt -
I have a Saitek pro flight yoke as my controller along side the rudder pedals. I run fsx on Windows 8 and never had a problem until now. Recently my yoke has been responding in fsx and then just stops responding all of a sudden mid flight. It seems to happen usually when I switch program like say I go on google to try and find charts, and I go back into the sim and it's no longer responding. it also does it sometimes even without a change of programs! I have tried uninstalling the drivers and re-installing them. I have tried a bunch of things but nothing has worked. By the way the rudder and throttle quadrant become unresponding at the same time as the yoke. Any help much appreciated, Robbie. -
I currently own a Saitek X52 but the truth is that I am not happy with it, and i constantly find myself back to my old Sidewinder. The Saitek yoke is good for modding and the occasional serious flight but not so great for everyday flying. This time I think that I would like to try a force feedback controller since I've never had one, and perhaps some rudder pedals to finally be able to taxi in a straight line. I am considering getting either the G940 system or a used MS sidewinder FFB2 with either CH or Saitek pedals Could someone comment on these two controllers? Is the FSForce addon realistic and compatible with all addon planes? Is the G940 worth the money? How does force feedback add to the flight sim experience? -
Anyone here using an xbox 360 controller to fly with? For the most part I have gotten it to work well. I followed this guide to set it up: http://www.flyingscool.com/XBox360_ControllerFSX.htm However I have one problem that's been bugging me and thats when using my right analog stick to pan around while in certain views. For example when panning around in the virtual cockpit, I'll move the stick towards the left and hold it there in order to keep my view in sight but after a second or so the view will reset back as though I let my finger off the stick. Does anyone know how to fix this and prevent that from happening. Sucks when I'm in middle of a flight and panning in a certain direction to enjoy the scenery and the view resets.

Hi all! please forgive my exasperate tone but I really am at a loss. This morning I run the windows calibration utility fo my saitek x52 and after that, for some reason the throttle has stopped working properly. It now gets stuck (sometimes straight away, sometimes after a couple of seconds) around 50% and doesn't respond to imputs (it moves slightly but then it resets to that awful 50%. It looks like something is defaulting the throttle to that position as I've tried assigning other axes to it and it still does the same. Works fine with keyboard. When calibrating through FSUipc the axis management sees the throttle but the calibration utility just keeps flickering in the range 250-350 (throttle range is something like -16000 to +16000). Not sure if it could be a problem with FSUIPC but cannot test because I am unsure on how to uninstall it (and if it is advisable due to so many programs using it) and was unable to do anything about it despite trying for 2 hours. Here's my (unresolving) trobleshooting so far: 1.tested the joystick on other platforms - works fine 2. updated the drivers - nothing happened 3.tried to map the throttle through FSUIPC - the axis management sees the range but the calibration just flickers between 250-350 3. tried mapping other axes to the throttle - same problem 4.tried deleting and re-generating FSX config file - same issue but joystick moved for the first 10 secs or so before reverting back to the described behaviour 5.tried disabling and re enabling the controller on pc - nothing happened 6. tried any possible combination of key/axes assignment on FSUIPC - nothing happened 7. tried disabling the saitek control panel and leave windows to "see" the throttle as a default one - nothing happened The problem, in my opinion seems to reside in either FSUIPC of FSX itsef (but having deleted the config, shouldn't it be resolved) In the hope that someone has some fresh idea, Thanks all! I have been tweaking around with my ingame P3D settings and my P3D.cfg to increase my FPS. However when i tested it with one of my PMDG aircrafts i had encountered that my rudder was extremely slower then usual inwhich i can barely turn on the ground when moving at a reasonable taxi speed. All other controls work such as turning, rotation etc. I have attempted to uninstall and reinstall but with no luck, i have tried to reset the controls to defaults but again with no luck, i have tried to calibrate my controller but yet again with no luck, all i had to do was slew (which is boring to do). Has anyone ever encountered a problem similar to this one? If so, please let me know or give me any suggestions

I'm soon going to buy the 777 and want to do some routes that cross the Atlantic, however, it's not fun preparing the transatlantic radio operations check sheet if there isnt going to be a controller on . That's why I only fly the cross the pond events, however, whats your experience? I looked on Vattastic and both oceanic controllers are on, which to be is a bit odd considering i never see them online besides during events... -
Hello pilots, With the starting of my Junior year, I was thinking about changing my old Logitech Extreme Pro controller and getting a new one. First, I want to just clarify that, I generally fly NGX and sometimes A321. (Hopefully I will fly more Airbus with the releases of NLS A380 and FSLabs A3XX) But my simulation experience is not only limited to these few aircraft. I have many planes in my hanger, but these are the ones I fly a lot: 1. NGX 2. AXE 3. A2A G/A (C172 and Cherokee) 4. A2A P40 and P51 5. Q400 Dash 8 Because NGX is my first choice, I thought about getting a yoke, rather then a Joystick. But because I live in a dorm, where I have to "hide" my sim stuff at nights, I have to get a small or rather "moveable" controller. First thing came to my mind was Saitek X52 Pro, that I had to return due to the display on the throttle panel, not being compatible with many addon aircraft. So my best bet is Saitek Pro X-55. It is nice, easy to handle and looks awesome. Also, from Froogle's videos, I had a feeling that it is a really good controller... So here on Avsim Forums, I decided to write my short story and get your opinions on it. You can provide Pros and Cons, or even tell me more about your controller. I will probably purchase at the end of September or in October. Thanks for everything. P.S: I am not a big fan of Boeing or Airbus. I just fly with the one that feels real and good. As for now it is PMDG. Also, what is my favorite if you ask .............. P-51 Mustang ........... Preferably ones with Blondie on 'em -
i have an issue with fs2020 which is that my joystick wont show up in fs2020. It can detect the input but the controls and everything else is blank. Does someone know how to fix this?
