"Soon" defined....

Robert,You mentioned a while ago along with the NGX that there were 2 unannounced things also. Since this is the time of announcement for release, What are the other 2 things you were keeping from us? :( Related links below:http://forum.avsim.n...ost__p__1724730http://forum.avsim.n...ost__p__1724730http://forum.avsim.n...ost__p__1814649Thanks,Benny Miller

Also......Ryan, I don't think that many people got your bed intruder reference. I did! That took place in Alabama, which is where I live now. (I moved here from the Southwest US. I'm not from Alabama.) There are two things that have influenced the way I see Alabama: The wicked humidity, and the Bed Intruder.  :(
I caught it and was indeed laughing out loud. :(

I'll have a couple of days to give this beauty a try before going on Holiday with the wife and my mother, cannot wait!
Sounds like you're hopelessly outnumbered! A wife and mother on one holiday...at the same time?

So you'll fly an inferior product rushed to release to cash in before the NGX came out, that you had to fix yourself, because you don't like "the arrogance of some of the posts" in the forums? It's your money, and you certainly are under no obligation to buy anything, especially if you already have another NG. I've been reading the forums here for quite a while and posting for the past several weeks... so yes, I've seen some of the threads here get out of hand... but "the arrogance of some of the posts" is kind of a petty "take my ball and go home" reason not to do something if you don't mind my saying so.I considered buying the "other" NG when it came out but decided to pass. Following the development of the NGX, it didn't seem to even be a comparison. Reading some of the problems people have had with it, I haven't really regretted it at all. I have numerous addons that I've had to fight with for one reason or another. I don't like arguing with the FMS... I don't like cartoony flight dynamics where a fully loaded mainline jet bounces around like a kid on a spring-mounted horse at a playground... I don't like cheaply approximated systems... and I especially don't like opening up the aircraft.CFG or the XML files in the panel and having to make alterations because the developers couldn't be bothered to give their own work a once-over before selling it to people. I have ~$300 worth of addon aircraft that I don't fly anymore for these reasons. I'm just done buying from developers that say "good enough" and throw the product out there. Some of them fix the problems, some of them don't, but for my money I expect a developer to at least try and fix the obvious stuff before release.I'm sure some issues will come up with the NGX, because you can't root out every problem... I'm quite comfortable however handing them my money and taking delivery of the NGX next week sometime knowing that they refused to take one cent of my money until they solved every problem they could find, got their product as close to perfect as possible, and will deal promptly with anything that does come up post-release.Hopefully this post isn't too arrogant...
Jack-You keep this up- they nay-say-ers are gonna lump you in with me. :( No worries- I'm not terrible company... And I do plan to get in a shower sometime before release day.Seriously: Thank you. Your point is precisely why we don't rush things. Yes- there will be problems but they should be little things if we can possibly help it- so we take the time. We are glad it is noticed.

I forget if I posted it or not somewhere earlier, but anyone want to play guess the ICAO city pair on the first tutorial? tongue.gif
I'm guessing it will be either SBSP to SBRJ or the reverse of that. Or maybe SBGR to SBRJ.Sean Campbell

Well. NOW you can easily extend the beta until Aug 8 as now I am on vacation. Was back then not a short term vacation when started but now I am not at home when the NGX is released.Just kidding of course. Will happily wait until my return home.
Okay everybody- Change of plan!We are going to push the release to the 10th so that Phil has a chance to get home from his vacation and get unpacked. :( (Okay- just kidding... stop throwing stuff at Phil. Hey! I said stop!)

I don't think it'll be SBRJ. Ryan said that he's planning an advanced tutorial there. SBGL to SBGR or reverse would be a fair guess, even thought in this short route, they wouldn't be able to 'demonstrate' the NGX in cruise. It should be something a bit longer that that. If I were to guess three potential airports in Brazil, I'd say SBGL (or) SBGR and SBBR.

That is exactly why I love PMDG deep down in my heart. With everyone aimed towards crap quality at inflated prices these days, I have to say that PMDG is the only company I know of that does things the way they should be. Congratulations, PMDG.
