It all looks great. When it shows up on the REX site and Flightsim Store, I'll bite. I searched the REX forums and the closest thing I got was a vague thread in November.

 

REX has never introduced anything in such a haphazard fashion. No teasers, no forum activity, no previews. Is it a scam? If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck....

 

I realize there was a response from a REX person, but can that be spoofed? Not being a conspiracy theorist, just wondering.

+1 It does seem remarkably strange for a supposed new product to be released in this manner when there has always been a thread discussing new product developments and pre-releases. Tim and Reed are also quite active in other forums talking about new products, and I see none of that in this case. My money's staying in my wallet until after the holidays...

 

Conspiratorially it would be a perfect time to try to execute a scam, when people who could stop and fix any compromised systems are away for Christmas... Hope I'm wrong on that and it is a proper REX product.

Tim, is this an enhancement on Rex Ess + OD and Rex TD or a standalone product that can be used beside / instead of the other 2 ?

Ah Guys there is a difference and I mean huge I will post a screenshot when its done in a bit - this is no scam bought it in a minute no problems at all - I like the standalone version as it doesnt matter you can always go back to your originals easy enough - really happy with this purchase

I bought it more than 6 hrs ago and never recieved an e mail, I havent recieved a link .

Although I had an order ID.

This has to be the most bizarre release I've witnessed and most un-REX like. I don't blame people for being cautious and thinking the worst.

Well, the Paypal option seems to be down (problem with seller's email address), but heck it's Xmas day there's no hurry.

Paypal is now up and running on the store.

Glad to read so fast response from REX team members, but we still don't know one important thing - it is created to run with other REX programs and/or it's standalone addon which can be used even on virgin FSX...?

There were people looking for the download? It's in the box below 'Product' on the order reference page. It's the unlikely small (595kb) setup file, but it's the real thing!

 

It took me a while, but I found the file and installed it and... WOW!!!

This is quite different from REX4 and it's beautiful!

 

It's a very nice program. It's a miniature REX4 TD, the same structure as a the texture selection pages as we know them from REX4, but only a single page with 16 sets of low level clouds to choose from.

Still a bit puzzled about the timing of those attempts on my debit card, but I'm convinced now it's unrelated. The video is real, the REX webstore is real and the program is the REAL DEAL, guys!

Those are my thoughts (and partly why I run lower res clouds). Guess I'm also partly wondering why this isn't a Texture Update for existing REX Essentials/4 customers like others discussed above. I'll probably keep my wallet closed for now.

Exactly. I have rexessential plus overdrive, rex 4 texture direct and fex and now this set too.Not very impressed by these soft clouds.  The opposite really I'm running fsx only and maybe they were mainly intended for prepar3dv2 so this is maybe the reason why they suck on my screen ? It was only $10 so not much harm done.
