December 25, 201411 yr I'm so confused as there are too many Rex products already to throw another paid cloud program out there.
December 25, 201411 yr For those who are enquiring, the country listings are now fixed within our store. @Graham, it's not a scam. We just ran out of time properly getting the website updates and press releases out before Christmas. Sorry for the confusion! Tim, Thanks for jumping on my post. I would never question your company's motives. Just making sure it was actually you. Ah Guys there is a difference and I mean huge I will post a screenshot when its done in a bit - this is no scam bought it in a minute no problems at all - I like the standalone version as it doesnt matter you can always go back to your originals easy enough - really happy with this purchaseIf Sennett bought in confidence, then I'm in. Thanks for testing the water for us. EDIT: Just bought using PayPal. Looks good. Apologies for accusing scam. Looked fishy for awhile. Regards, Graham Derreck CYMM
December 25, 201411 yr Glad to see something besides the whole "HD" cloud thing. I'm a pilot. Clouds are not sharp in real life except in rare circumstances.
December 25, 201411 yr Interesting.. Screenshots would be nice and needed before buying. 9900k@5GHz, 32GB@3200 RAM, Strix RTX 2080ti, VKB Gladiator mkii, VKB rudder pedals
December 25, 201411 yr I paid full price for REX OD and got a small discount on REX4 and this is not a free update. I still use FEX clouds. I will wait for reviews. MSFS
December 25, 201411 yr Did a couple of flights with set 1, they look very good to my eyes. Up to now I've been using the default clouds, because most 3rd-party clouds I find look too "painted". These are soft and natural, and I for one am very glad I picked them up.
December 25, 201411 yr Why would rex bring out an individual product that enhances clouds when they have the more comprehensive texture direct packages that they could append this enhancement to? Seems odd to release something like that on it's own when you have the chance to further improve and existing product?? Tom Tom Why not read some useful tips and tricks - http://forum.avsim.n...22#entry1965722

I don't need another config tool. MSFS

Seems odd to release something like that on it's own when you have the chance to further improve and existing product?? Tom To further monetise it obviously. If people are so desperate for the next best thing that they will pay again and again for it, why wouldnt REX make it a new payware product? Reed did say elsewhere some special things were coming that would make my purchase of R4TD worthwhile, so I expected an update of some kind free to existing users? Perhaps that is still to come, I dont know? For myself, I didnt really notice any difference between Rex 3 and Rex 4 TD, which I only bought for the supposed water improvements. Then the fixed water textures were released for R3 first, making that purchase of R4TD a waste of time...and now a few reworked cloud textures pop up as an additional purchase...? No thanks REX, I'm already feeling a bit gouged, I'm sure I can make do with what I already have thanks. Kevin Firth - AMD 9800X3D; Asus Prime X670E; 64Gb Cas30 6000 DDR5; RTX5090; AutoFPS
December 25, 201411 yr Kinda disappointed to be honest since I thought these kind of volumetric clouds were part of the Texture Direct package when I bought it, but turns out they weren't and I'm still using default clouds. Not sure if I wanna buy another cloud enhancement product now...
December 26, 201411 yr Like said before: The Cumulus01.bmp is probably the best sold texture ever #$%! *deleted by author* Merry Christmas and a Happy, prosperous New Year to all. Gerrit
December 26, 201411 yr Hi Guys I posted a screenshot edited aircraft but sky is Rex soft clouds - you cant tell by screenshots really - what I am seeing is a a beautiful balance between soft and the hd famous Rex clouds, they look great and feel more real than than anything I have tried - I used soft clouds #15 Anyone saying they dont see a difference read the manual - some settings usually on the low side should be turned up at least in P3D - l also I created my weather under customization menu - play with that a bit Rich Sennett

December 26, 201411 yr Richard, can you please test in FSX. Thx. Hi Jose sorry no fsx loaded - its very nice - here is a shot right out of sim and Rex gui to show the request to see it - what I am actually thinking is Rex has always given killer shots of Their up-coming products but not with this one - which leads me to believe some people were not ready as was I - doesn't matter nice Christmas present I was not expecting but lets remember Rex has always supplied a quality product Rich Sennett
