March 9, 201610 yr Rob, you are correct that I'm not all that upset with LM, in fact, I'm not upset really with anyone. I think that the developers, in most cases, are trying their best to keep up with a somewhat difficult situation. The reason I brought all this up about the developers is I tend to look at their situation as the "collateral effects" of LM's or Laminar's efforts at always trying to improve the sims. And those collateral effects are what I think most simmers are worried about when they go to apply an update. With regard to the complexities being self-induced, I totally agree with you. That's why this time around I'm trying not to install a bunch of stuff I don't think I really need and not as many planes, scenery, whatever so that I don't drive myself crazy trying to keep it all working. I realize some of those things can possibly make the sim more fun, but sometimes for me it just becomes too much of a pain in the butt to mess with. In my younger years I probably (in fact, I know) would've been more inclined to take on the challenges. That's my problem, part of me says "Yes, do it" and the other part says "Are you *%#*@^5 CRAZY?!" Well, I don't know where you found all those planes, but all I want right now to add to my small (vs. what I have in FSX) collection is my Quality Wings 146 and a 737 and I'll be happy. I would like something a little less complex than the PMDG 737. I went ahead and got the Captain Sim 737, but it has no landing gear and I can't get any pitch action on it. Neither yokes nor elevators move. Supposedly something to do with piracy protection. I'm very disappointed. Can't use it at all. So far I haven't found a fix so I may end up with the PMDG anyway. And, yes, after a couple of weeks I'll probably update to 3.2 and hope to not lose any functionality with anythng. BTW, any issue with MT6 after update? March 9, 201610 yr Well, seems I'm an odd one... had a great 3.1 install, have since uninstalled the 3.1 client, rebooted, and installed the 3.2 client msi file. Now my install simple won't load. What step did I miss? Have rebooted several times. Apologies if I'm missing something simple. Allen, flight sim lover and AA-5 Traveler owner
March 9, 201610 yr Is MFAA supported ? In v3,1 it was said that it was and also that it wasn't supported . What step did I miss? Have rebooted several times. Apologies if I'm missing something simple. Look at post #314. That's most likely the issue. You could also try to load with clean dll.xml / exe.xml but be aware that there are two locations to look at for those files. If this does not work proceed as suggested in post #308 Regards, Chris -- PC: Intel 13900K, Gigabyte Geforce RTX 4090, 64GB Fury Beast DDR5 RAM; Display: Varjo Aero VR
March 9, 201610 yr Check your DLL.XML And EXE.XML entries and disable anything currently not support V3.2 (i.e. ASN, ObjectFlow, etc.) Get the latest Virtuali update. Get latest FSUIPC. Don't know if SODE v1.2 or v1.3 works, haven't tested that yet. Cheers, Rob. 1.3 does David Graham Google, Network+, Cisco CSE, Cisco Unity Support Specialist, A+, CCNA
March 9, 201610 yr Meanwhile, the update so far is quiet noticeable, AA is much improved (I shut off NI which had 2xSGSS). 4X MSAA, so far, is all that is needed, as Rob has suggested. Running great right now, albeit w/o ASN. I wonder why there are opposite observations in regard of AA: for instance, Carenado's cockpit labels and some airports show terrible shimmering and jaggy lines. Can only be improved by SGSS in my setup. Tried 4 x MSAA only w/wo MFAA and no NI, but AA gets worse. Only 8 x MSAA and 2 x SGSS milders this effect. Might be different if you use non-critical airplanes and/or airport sceneries. Regards, Chris -- PC: Intel 13900K, Gigabyte Geforce RTX 4090, 64GB Fury Beast DDR5 RAM; Display: Varjo Aero VR

I still have to use 4x SGSS but then my GPU Load goes up to 99%. So I am using now 2x SGSS, it does not looks good but better than nothing. I will use it until I buy a new video card.

Different scenery can require different AA too. Also not everyone has a Carenado plane. gb. YSSY. March 9, 201610 yr I doubt that there is anything in v3.2 to persuade me to upgrade. No offense intended, but those waves do not look particularly convincing to me. They look very similar to the old shoreline waves in FSX. Same here. 3.1 is running absolutely perfect for me, no issues at all. So I will leave 3.2 aside ;-)
March 9, 201610 yr Hi gents, Maybe already stated somewhere in this topic, not sure. Willing to update to 3.2, client.msi and content.msi only as I did for 3.1 (as soon as ASN is fixed). Question is: will content update affect someway my Orbx FTX Trees and GEX (F1 Ground enviroment P3D) installations? If so, do I have to uninstall/re-install them after the update? Thanks guys for any reply. I can't to be honest see why you'd want anything additional to Night Environment, it seems to provide everything it needs to (for me anyway) Kevin Firth - AMD 9800X3D; Asus Prime X670E; 64Gb Cas30 6000 DDR5; RTX5090; AutoFPS
