March 14, 20215 yr My system is running great just like before the updates. I too only use the sim computer for simming. No email, browsing or even downloads other than MSFS. I use a Mac for all downloads, let ClamX check for problems with files, then transfer with usb drive to sim machine, my specs are in my profile. I use a lot of added payware and freeware in the community folder. But I always move it out when updating. Then bring it back as I want to use it. Currently all addons are working fine for me. My current fav planes are the Spitfire and the WACO. happy simming, I hope everyone can get their systems running well. March 14, 20215 yr The group of "happy simmers" is probably vastly larger by enormous margins than the group of "complainers". The latter group, however, is louder and makes more noise, the former group spends their time enjoying the sim. Less complaining, more flying, as someone put it nicely. Even though I'm running MSFS 2020 on a close to 6 year old PC, with only 8 Gigs of system ram, I'm having more fun than I had for a long time. Sure, I have plenty of stutters, the occasional CTD, etc. but that's par for the course for a sim that's barely 7 months old. Everything else I'm hoping for will, I'm certain, come in due time: improved avionics, weather, addon planes, etc. No need for me to bang on about the sim lacking this or lacking that. Taken together with the many mods already available, the value for money that this sim offers is off the charts. Edited March 14, 20215 yr by Ricardo41
March 14, 20215 yr Loving MSFS too. Just coming to the end of my round the world trip on the FBW A320 flying online with Vatsim. This sim is the next generation!

It tends to happen to me in complex areas (Chicago downtown, Miami, etc.) on which there's photogrammetry and also in coastal areas everywhere. Other subject discussed here is having a machine exclusively dedicated to MSFS. I have a gaming laptop with MSFS and a lot of stuff on it (including P3Dv4.5... still) and a simming PC which I mainly use for MSFS, and in both machines the results are very similar. I think this "bug" is complicated enough and it's up to Asobo to find the culprit. March 14, 20215 yr If you are not having any troubles then I am truely happy for you. The idea that someone would sooner complain than enjoy the sim is a Joke. Good for you, One my side the performance was great until the last patch and now it's terrible. during a flight, FPS will tank randomly, the only way to get some performance back is to switch to external then back to cockpit view. I even have stutter on the main menu, never happened before!!! Since I am pretty sure we don't have the same graphic settings in game, maybe it would be a good place for the dev to check if they did not break one of them. Edited March 14, 20215 yr by bendead

So, I just had a very nice and greasy touchdown with the Spitfire in KTIW. I took the route exactly along the flight plan. To be brutally honest with myself, I had two short (5 to 10 seconds) fps drops near KOKH and WA61 from 40 to 30 fps with detectable micro stutters. Nothing serious, luckily. I might not have seen that normally, but I had the fps counter and task manager open. Task manager showed 100% on core 15 as usual with those phases of fps drops. Where exactly did you experience the fps problems?
March 14, 20215 yr I made that flight. No crash. What I find odd is that i get parts with low 40 fps and then parts with mid 20. It seems not very scenery intense with lots of water. I9-14900K, Gigabyte B760 Aorus Elite AX, RTX 4080, 32 ram.1 tb nvme M.2 SSD, MSFS 2020 on 2 tb nvme m.2 SSD

March 14, 20215 yr I credit my happy experience to only having aircraft mods, not tweaking outside of the settings menu & had installed FS2020 on a fresh install of Windows when I first go it. i9900k RTX 2080ti 32gb RAM I get 30fps on the group and 40-50 in the air on something like a CJ4.

And that's exactly what the problem is. So, while you are happy, you do have FPS problems. 😉 It's more apparent in one area then another. My GPU dropped to 50% around Orlando, FL, causing severe stutters and only 80% around Manchester, UK, which remained smooth-ish.

March 14, 20215 yr I could also add some "happy" screenshots during a round trip in Athens ( almost 1 hour ) with out any fps drop, stutter etc. Ultra smooth with average 70-100 fps ( ultra settings) But this is not the case! When i fly a route with A32nx fbw i am having serious fps drops/stutters during the flight which act randomly.
