I highly doubt that CPU compatibility list is conclusive. It is still very early days.

You Probably WON'T Be Able to Use Windows 11.
But
You WILL Probably Still Be Able to Use next Linux versions on 12 years or less Pc .

Keep your "old" machine !
Keep your "old" printer !
Keep your "old" webcam !
Keep your "old" scanner !
They WILL Probably run under
next Linux versions.

I'm still using a webcam, a printer and a scanner under Linux because M$ said these devices are too old when W7 was released.
Today, those 3 devices would probably be somewhere in India or Africa.

Do we NEED Windows ?
Well, yes and no, today, if we want to play with FS 2020 or some other games.
Because in 2025, we WILL Probably Be Able to run Fs 20something with an Xbox, or Ps something.

PS : I used uppercase letters, like in the above video title.

Microsoft May Change the Windows 11 Minimum System Requirements

The drama continues. Acknowledging its terrible communication on this topic, Microsoft now says it will review its Windows 11 system requirements.

Still no 6th generation CPUs. Which enables my system to run all present sims amazingly under Win 10. But, maybe, not well  enough for Win 11 notepad and friends.

Kind regards, Michael

Here's a third party tool that does a much better job of checking your system for Win 11 compatibility by actually letting you know which parts may not be compatible. No doubt that if MS changes the minimum requirements, this tool will be quickly updated.

Hello Jim, I am always wary about downloading software from an unsigned source and with all respect to yourself, did a bit more digging before taking the plunge. After seeing the very same link in TechRadar telling you to ignore both Microsoft warnings, I went ahead. I am only mentioning this in case any others are put off by the two warnings, it simply works great, thank you.

I have to buy a retarded TPM chip for my mobo.  I could never find them anyway and now the price spike is over 100.  This is 100% planned obsolesce to spur up PC sales.  Laptops already have this.

MS gets a huge middle finger salute 💩

Most modern computers sold within the past I don't know, 2-4 years should have TPM capability. It's not exactly a new thing. Obvious there will be some that don't support it for various reasons.

Vote to fix transparent  sun visors having no effect on the sun glare effect in MSFS at: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/sun-shades-sun-visors-not-influencing-light-in-cockpit/691565/

For me, the question is not whether my pc is able to switch to Windows 11, it is why should I want to? Most of what I have read so far, in this thread and elsewhere, says I should not (in some cases emphatically). In regard to MSFS, isn't the question not whether it will run on Win 11, but whether it will run better than it does on Win 10? So far I have seen nothing to suggest that Win 11 offers any advantages whatsoever to flight simmers.

I'm just hoping that doing the whole Windows 11 upgrade won't create any headaches not just for MSFS but for my other programs as well.
