My solution to ATC is to use MCE, and has been for years. I simply have the virtual co-pilot handle ATC, much like you might on a real flight.

Personally, I am not going to invest a single euro on this platform until:

1) the platform itself becomes more stable, meaning a substantial reduction of ctd's and no more crippling crashdates

2) we get options adequate to high end PC's. (note: my computer is not one of those: no RTX here, no high speed RAM, no gaming motherboard, no overclock, no liquid cooling. But I want to see them fork at least a few segments of code for PC's. Otherwise this is a dead horse)

Agree.  Its been 18 months now since my last right seat GA ride and I badly miss that and handling GNS or GTN functions.  If this Delta variant would wane I would gladly climb back in....

I will definitely purchase one or the other. If they hit the shelves at around the same time I will try and hold off for a few weeks until the reviews on the products settle.

Definitely leaning towards the Fenix though.

I do hope both companies don’t perceive this as a race to be first out the door and release immature products.

These will both be instant buys for me. I can't wait! I will be purchasing both regardless of price.

I loved flying the NGx in P3D. I'm really looking forward to climbing back in the left seat of one in MSFS.

I was holding out for an A320 by a reputable developer in P3D, but apparently none of them were willing to go head to head with FSL. I'm thrilled that Fenix arrived on the scene in MSFS so can I finally get a shot a flying a high fidelity A320. @Aamir - Thank you! But please do not break the trust of the community like the other guys did. Just stick with reasonable, ethical business practices. No matter what.

I used Radar Contact in P3D. I guess it will have to be Vatsim for me in MSFS. I'll just have to pretend that the 10 year old boy is a lady pilot... 🤣

no more room in my hangar at home for another 737, bought fs9 737, bought fsx 737, bought p3d 737 and gave the ex-wife 737k in a divorce 😁  i will buy Fenix👍

at least you got rid of her...I'm sure it was worth it.

I own the 737 and 777 for P3d but I think I'll pass on any MSFS versions. There's nothing to be gained within the cockpit and until MSFS gets it act together with AI traffic and ATC, there's little to see outside either and that's where MSFS really shines. Tubeliner flying is mostly above the clouds and PMDG aircraft are made for someone who enjoys understanding the myriad of aircraft systems.

As to Fenix, I'm sure the A320 will be a big hit if the price is right. I'm a bit shocked as to the hype surrounding the aircraft, considering that Fenix has nowhere near the track record that PMDG has. I'll wait and see just like I did with Aerosoft. That money went instead to some nice 3rd party airports. There's a lot of smaller aircraft that are still in the works for MSFS and these aircraft tend to fit perfectly into the MSFS ecosystem.

In any case, the release of these aircraft are a test of the MSFS market. Will casual simmers embrace these aircraft? It really depends on the price. And who's looking at the credit card bill.

I think they're gonna milk MSFS but in other ways.  A combat flight simulator makes sense, especially a modern combat flight simulator. They can literally reuse the same photogrammetry/satellite data they have now. They just have to figure out how to make the photogrammetry 3D buildings destructible when it gets hit by a bomb or missile.  And of course, another Microsoft train simulator makes sense.  Of course they plan to sell the helicopter add-on.  And they can sell a glider add-on as well.  Microsoft is smart, they will milk MSFS for everything they can get.

There will be a MMO world simulator with first person and you can do anything online including fly to attend a conference,  meetup for a golf tournament, train ride across a country or have a virtual cruise with everyone on the ship.

My wallets not ready cause I just dumped 800$ on flight controls a couple days ago, what’s good about software is it can be hidden, but hardware, I’m quite intrigued on how the conversation will go with my better half once the boxes arrive 😬

 Intel I7 12700KF / 32 GB Ram-3600mhz / Windows 11 - 64 bit / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060TI / 32" Acer Monitor, Honeycomb alpha/bravo, CH rudder pedals, Tobii 5, Buttkicker, Logitech radio panel.

Luckily I still have the $100 off the PMDG 737NG3 from the NGXu promo they had when it was released. So it will be a no brainer to get it just for maybe $20-$40 more 😄

The Fenix is also a must buy, but will check reviews first if it is comparable to the FSLabs.

Waiting for reviews. Never buying on day 1.

This "just" is pretty much a whole new technology that is needed that no body yet have done before for a horrible art asset like photogrammetry.

Auto-gen on the other hand is another story, yet not trivial at all as well.

Anyone who wants an MSFS combat simulator will probably have to wait years, even if it's something they are considering, really don't hold your breath.

The same goes BTW for train simulator although it has a different problem, photogrammetry will not pass any (even low) visual standard when it comes to low altitudes more speaking on ground, it just looks bad, really bad.

I am just scratching the surface of what the DC-6 offers, buying another complex aircraft is not in my immediate agenda.

Besides the much touted system and automation complexity of a simcraft like the Fenix doesn’t interest me much.

So my wallet is safe.

Now if a smaller size and rugged hauler, with a convincing  system and flight/engine modeling, would come to the market... Or the ole A2A T-6... Or a fighter jet of the 50’s or early 60’s... I could look into the old leather pouch.

I always thought that the sweet spot was the MD80 flying with VOR's defined airways as in the 90's. I mean the steam gauges MD80.
