in general settings

Guess I had to choose "full screen" there... Strange.. the other settings were unchanged.

Anyway, went to user.cfg and set "FullscreenBorderless 1". My previous settings (sharpen 1 etc) was still there.

Opted out of the beta, launched the Microsoft Store, updated from the beta, pointed the installer to my alternative installation location so as not to download the entire game, update took about 3 minutes, was 134 MB, didn't find any updates in the content manager.

Overall, the usual smooth update experience.

Edit: Yeah, lost a couple of frames as well.

For the first time since purchase, updating was [almost] painless on both sims, one a store version, the other a steam version.  I  **really** must remember to rename the steam community folder.  Seems something in there was not liked - blue bar stops around 50%. Cleared the Community Folder and all loaded correctly.  The store version Community Folder was left in place and no problems on that side,  Well pleased for a change. 🙂 BR

Pretty smooth update from beta to release here as well.

My FPS performance on the tarmac has dropped significantly. LAX was ~26, now ~19 fps. Bordering on unusable. As soon as I get off the ground... 30+.

See if this helps: https://ibb.co/gyP8YbB

Has anyone found any addons that cause CTD when loading flights yet?

Of course, anything in the right direction is good, just not the fixes I've been hoping we would see

The list of improvements in SU9 from MS, plus comments from the Beta test team were very clear there were small  improvement in the weather - hoping for something when the changes were published seems a bit self induced disappointment.

Store download won't work with Flight Sim open.  Close it and try again.  Works fine.

For those with performance issues on large hubs: This was notified by several beta testers (I made an own thread on it) but obviously not considered. In my case, it was a significant performance loss (25 to 15 fps on ground) on KSFO which obvisouly was not amended.

Other testers reported it as well, seems to be the main thread being hammered on ground.

Kind regards, Michael

Hmm, my DC-6 seems to have developed oil leaks on all 4 engines. 1st flight would have ended in a ditching in the sea. I guess a re-install of the aircraft is in order.

Performance seems to be the same for me, the new ATC voices are cool.
