Asobo actually is the first ever professional gaming company that created the best so far modern Weather engine with Multi-layered Volumetric clouds in a Dynamic live weather environment with great performance and less fps impact. And there you see the Skills of development, time and efforts. Yeah he already posted a quick registry edit you could use to get it working. I did that, and it worked...but DX12 was just not smooth at all. I've since seen some people saying that disabling FSR / NIS in the toolkit and using the override resolution feature instead, gets you smooth frames. I'll have to check it out later.

Good luck with your deep frustration because your ability to enjoy the sim seems to depend entirely on what Asobo does, according to your timetable of expections despite the fact you really don't have a clue about what all is involved, and yet Asobo is 100% out of your control leaving you in a powerless, frustrated state. Most people fully understand and agree with your analysis of what's deficient, so it's the failure on your part to adapt to reality that perpetuates your frustration. I feel for you and hope you can find a way to get some peace in the here and now. If using something like APL2 doesn't help you enjoy what works really well already in the sim and a massive amount does, perhaps visit/revisit P3D or XP11 for contrast to help you regain the wow you seem to be after. FWIW I never saw a benefit of using NIS or FSR with the scaling option, neither performance-wise nor visually, in fact, the sharpness scalar quickly makes everything look way oversharpened on my end. I've always used the override resolution feature and it makes much more of a difference for me. Edited July 11, 20223 yr by threegreen

When people pointing out for you you choose to ignore and stick to your believes (or ignorance). Unfortunately, some people get off on whining and complaining, and Avsim seems to attract many of these people.
July 11, 20223 yr I find it is less exhausting to just enjoy what I have instead of agonizing over what I could have but don't know if I will ever have.
July 11, 20223 yr Some just misconstrue passion & obsession. I know I'm passionate because I support a sim that is in constant change. I still complain from time to time, but enjoy the sim as much as possible. MSFS
