The Road to Bankruptcy

I know there are some out there who are very rich but has anyone ever worked out the total cost of buying all MSFS add ons? I bought all the Orbx scenery for Australia/NZ but that is nothing compared to everything available. Are we dumb or what?

Rich people are rich because they don't waste their money on MSFS addons.  That's also why most of us on here are probably are not rich 😃

The rich guy that bought every FSXScenery and Taburet addons is now broke...

Look at this as stimulus to make more money to support your hobby!

I only buy airports of a handful of RW airports I know personally, and a few favorite others, so only about 6 is it.  Default airports are serviceable especially if you are focused on flying.  I'm using APL2 which has a rudimentary but useful scoring component that helps keep me on my toes--I need that in a simulator since there is no downside to poor performance otherwise.  I did get sucked into FSBirds and unless they really improve the animations I will uninstall.

I'm trying to understand if this is real question or a joke hehe.

The payware for FSX probably still outnumbers MSFS.

Like sims of old you don't buy everything, you just pick the ones that you'd enjoy.  I recommend to limit yourself into say 50 bucks a month (or your equivalent currency).  Obviously that's highly dependent on salary.

You can sink a ton of money into all hobbies. I've purchased lots of aircraft and scenery.

Rich people are rich because they spend money when they can afford to.

I won't lie. There's been a few times I've thought to myself "I wonder how much money it'd be to buy and install every single addon there is for MSFS?" And then I just carry on with my life having only bought like, 6 addons in total for MSFS.

Try golf as a hobby if you think Flight Simming is expensive! Just pace yourself with an occasional add-on, along with freeware. This is way less expensive than FSX or P3D. Really enjoying my hobby these days!

should have thought about that earlier and do it like Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk et al, they must have never bought a single addon since FS2 at full price, or only on black fridays. that's how you become a billionaire.

This question arose from me logging into MSFS this morning and seeing the announcement that there are 700 products on sale in the market place! I got my little  brain cell thinking .... 700 times ...... = ?
