I don't know for sure but passed on the comment on Github I'd say its a risk. Virtuali basic suggested that i does not use the SDK to do what it does. Its seems to be suggested that there is a hack of MSFS involved

Reads like someone who doesn’t have English as their first language trying to describe that this hack is considered a banning offence on other gaming titles and could cause a ban by MS here. Though I might be misinterpreting the comment myself.

How is this any different from FSPS' FFTF Dynamic utility, which performed a similar function for P3D? (Genuine question. I'd quite like to know). It too would need updating every time a new point version of P3D was released.

Does this hack offer any benefit to someone like myself who has FG enabled and in the NCP has fps limited to 60 (my monitor's refresh rate) plus vsync in the NCP?  Even at 4K  fps only dips into the high 50s at very detailed airports.  Now, as I have a dated 9900KF paired with a 4090 I would struggle at high end airports without FG so maybe a lift in my base rate would help?

About 1.5 years ago Achilles from FSPS made a similar tool. He did not release it as updates made it stop working every time.

I sent him a message with a link to this thread.

Shame it doesn't work in VR, where arguably it's needed most, hope someone clever can take a branch off and make it happen.

Is that with Terrain LOD set to 400? If not, this app is for you.

Its game changer. After SU14 I thought it couldn't get any better for a while but this is the icing on the cake.

I think its the biggest break through in the SIM that I've seen.

I absolutely agree. This is the most valuable utility for MSFS since Addons Linker, maybe even more important.

A big thank you to the dev @Fragtality. Hopefully he maintains this app for upcoming updates of the sim.

And thanks to the OP for highlighting it here.

Thanks for reminding me why I didn't do 4K let alone x3.  With the hardware you're running PMDG at midsize at 30FPS?  Horrid I hope it's all worth it for you.

Originally I thought it might be a simple tweak to redirect the settings to the VR settings instead of the monitor settings.

However I am beginning to think it’s more complicated than that. Anyone with any coding experience who could help shed light on what needs to be done and where we need to look to make these changes stick for VR would be very helpful!

It would be nice if somebody kind enough could make a simple guide of how to install this thing. For us not so computer gurus... 🤣

Yes a simple step by step guide what needs to be downloaded and how to setup the program would be very desirable, if this really works it's the best thing that ever happened to MSFS, then there is no need for a RTX 4090 anymore.

Why is there the warning message? I think the tool only runs outside of Msfs or something is changed in MSFS. which can no longer be undone. It's just a guess. would like to test it

Well I took the plunge this morning and first impressions are positive. It's really not difficult to install, I've left the app settings on default to begin with. Tested at my home airport of EGNM with FSLTL running. Ordinarily when taxiing around the airport I get the odd little micro stutter particularly when I do a tight turn or look around. first test and those tiny stutters seem to have pretty much disappeared. Very encouraging results so far.

Isnt TLOD and OLOD primarly taxiing the CPU? Why should the GPU be of any relevance here? Except for the fact that thanks to frame generation, my FPS are fine even on heavy hubs like KLAX, KFJK or EGLL and so basically no need for a dynamic LOD changer here. Still nice to have such a tool 🙂

Just curious, even with a powerful system do you not get the occasional small stutter when taxiing around a large busy airport with lots of ai aircraft? I only have a mid range system and the little hiccups that occur when I'm moving around on the ground drive me to distraction!
