$85 I’m gonna pass that a lot of money.

I noticed those artefacts in the water again during final approach. Is that a PG thing? I have never seen those on my PC.

I've now installed the Diva into fsx and got the fcom and irl checklists ready. The pmdg manual is pretty good too for learning the plane.

I might buy the TFdi and do a comparison video of cockpit systems. Especially start up and route management. I'm very interested to see how both compare. In fsx most of my md11 flights were cargo at night so the sim gfx differences will be less noticeable.

I think they deserve my money just for making the plane in the first place. Any dev going the non-trendy route these days is worthy of support. From their discord and dev diary they are obviously trying VERY hard to get this right systems wise.

I really hope I can get my fave pmdg livery for it. The FedEx PANDA 🐼

The 80/90s aircraft are amongst the most fascinating in my opinion. They tend to have a great blend of automation and manual systems which strikes the perfect balance in terms of fun and difficulty.

They have character through their complexity but they're simple enough by design for anybody to enjoy. The MD-11 fits into that perfectly, it is really fun to fly and my experience from the CE is that flying the aircraft can be bananas. It's like the 777 but stay awake because sometimes it will try to kill you. 😆

There is no charge for awesomeness... or attractiveness!!

No. No, Mav, this is not a good idea.

Sorry Goose, but it's time to buzz the tower!

I'm very much looking forward to this one 😀

Co-worker of mine used to fly the MD-11 for Swiss. He liked it alot, but he also told me that it's the only plane he landed by strict adherence to the Radio altimeter, no matter what his insticts were . He flew 777 and A330 aswell, but no plane was more unforgiving than the MD-11 and if you had not started to initiate the flare by 40ft RA You were toast and about to plow the mains into the tarmac navy style.

This is looking really interesting, even though I have the 777 (which I really like). I guess it depends on how well it works, or if it's a bug-ridden mess.

You mean those black seams? Yeah, could be PG related. I've seen it quite often.

Tonight I took it up and got the AP all sorted.  Its definitely different in operation but once you get the hang of it its almost the preferred way of using it.

Tomorrow (Tue) morning I plan to take it from SEA to ANC in the FedEx colors.  Will be my first acid test with the aircraft.  I flew it off and on during beta but it had such big issues I did not bother much.  Its pretty solid as far as I can tell now!

Is it out yet?
