October 5, 20241 yr So someone said some iFly devs were in one of the streams today and apparently it isn’t releasing until November 7th with pricing announcement on November 6th. If so, that’s too close to MS2024 for me. I’ll have to wait to see if it works out of the box on MS2024 before buying. Edited October 5, 20241 yr by B777ER Eric
October 5, 20241 yr I have been an IFly 737 and 747 supporter with FS2004 and P3D and in fact, I still have the 737 CD for FS2004 although I no longer use it. The main reason for mentioning FS2004 is that I was using seven monitors at the time. My setup was three screens for forward cockpit view (outside only) 1 for interior cockpit , one for overhead panel, one for throttle panel and one for the Pedestal. All screens were clickable other than the exterior cockpit views. It was a beautiful way to fly which was not surpassed until MS2020 and VR came along. FSX and P3D was not usable with this concept as the use of 2 or more monitors crippled the simulator and I never did find a way around that. IFly also featured 737 738 and 739 as well as the BBJ which is the model I concentrated on and had a very special (for me) repaint done which is still on the Flight 1 livery page. (Five Star Charters) For me, IFly has been a trouble-free installation and incredibly good aircraft in all formats and I MOST CERTAINLY will be a buyer for MS2020 and or MS2024 as I expect nothing will be different. One point I would like to make is that if it is released on Nov 7 it will be prior to MS2024 release and I am wondering if there will be a free update for those going to MS2024. Having said that, I have seen and read very little on the IFly development and now will have to go looking for the latest video to scrutinize that with an intense scrute to get some more information. I cannot wait for the Newby to rear its beautiful head. Tony Tony Chilcott. My System. Motherboard. ASRock Taichi X570 CPU Ryzen 9 3900x (not yet overclocked). RAM 32gb Corsair Vengeance (2x16) 3200mhz. 1 x Gigabyte Aorus GTX1080ti Extreme and a 1200watt PSU. 1 x 1tb SSD 3 x 240BG SSD and 4 x 2TB HDD OS Win 10 Pro 64bit. Simulators ... FS2004/P3Dv4.5/Xplane.DCS/Aeroflyfs2...MSFS to come for sure.

If that's true and we have to wait another month, I agree that's too close to 2024 releasing. I'm holding off on all purchases for 2020 at the end of October until I see how things move over to 2024. It would be nice to fly the MAX for month plus but 12 days out is too close for me. I'm thinking it will be soon as they are allowing it to be streamed. I guess will see. October 5, 20241 yr I have already stopped purchasing as I will move to 2024 on day one. I am excited for when this gets to 2024, however, and will very likely be a customer MSFS 2024. October 5, 20241 yr I'm surprised folks seem to expect 2024 to work flawlessly out of the gate on day one, with all 3rd party add-ons even. Guys, it took over a year for 2020 to be in a state that supported complex add-ons. Presumably it'll be faster this time, but logic says at least a few months. I'll happily buy the iFly for 2020, as I have no interest in beta testing yet another version of a simulator. When it's working reliably with all the add-ons I like, I'll make the switch... But I sure don't expect that to be on day, week, or month one! Andrew Crowley

I am not so sure now, if you look at the statement from PMDG yesterday, they just don't know what will be required to get the aircraft ported over to 24,, there may be very little required to get their aircraft working in 2024. On the other hand there could be far more than was expected. It also seems they don't get access to the SDK until late Oct. I have also put a hold on buying anything until it's known it will be compatible with the new sim,,and at this late stage, no upgrade fee.
