No, the 600 was cheaper because you got one variant as opposed to three for both the 700/800 packages. PMDG also said one version would be extra value - from that it would appear to be the least popular in RW...

Am downloading it now. It's a new product, 55 bucks is a bargain IMHO, Thanks so much PMDG, can't wait for the first flight!

 

FYI, 31 new liveries via the Op Center, something you'd have to buy from some vendors!

There should have been a discount for people who had already bought the 777. 

So moving on from the price talk, how is the plane itself?

I think I will pass on the "ROF"L for whatever that means. That wasn't my point, really.

Yes, maybe I am being too critical of them. But I would prefer stuff that works that is mostly bug free. WASM bugs were a hot ticket item for several months off/on.

And since I already have their excellent 777ER then the 777F is kind of moot for me and my wallet.

Would it be nice to not basically have a copy of the current plane you already own but a cargo variant? Sure. Would it be nice to have discount on such a plane so similar? Yes. But I'd rather save that money on other developers from now until PMDG can prove me otherwise.

Again, I said it was my opinion. So, I don't really want to ROFL right now.

That does sound nice but....Hmmm. Not sure. Fenx and JF often have a lot of liveries as well. Not to mention the thousands of liveries on the .To website.

 

I ordered a burger for lunch today and when I ordered a second one, they tried to charge me the full price. I said no thank you and walked out. I'll never go back again after being treated that way.

I love when people pretend like loyalty cards, point schemes and various other tactics to offer discounts to customers to retain repeat-buyers aren’t a thing in their daily lives. 

These things exist in nearly every facet of my daily life, bombarded at me to ensure I don’t use a competing product. It’s not weird to expect something similar in my hobby too. I mean other payware devs do it.

JustFlights offers me a sizeable discount as an owner of the 146 to be used for the RJ series, a fundamentally different aircraft that comes with its own sets of variants. However, I’m somehow disrespectful to expect some kind of discount for a freighter variant of the -200 who’s notable changes are derated engines and slight length difference.

True. But let 'em. Most of us already have a ton of their products and if they charge a fee to merge over to 2024 (which the overwhelming majority of devs are not) then they will likely start losing out on customers.

As we've mentioned, we never expected anything like a discount for returning users but meh. I've moved on. Example my favorite developer (hint, not pmdg anylonger) just released one of their extraordinarily amazing planes into the new sim for free.

I really hope we will have MSFS2020 for along time (2028) as it is really great with AS and REX and all kind of simulations. .
