So moving on from the price talk, how is the plane itself?

I would guess it is pretty much the same as the 777 ER.

  • Sixteen pages of threads...and plenty of nay-sayers. Nothing invokes more emotion here on Avsim than a thread involving either PMDG or FSLabs. I bought the 777F on day one...not my usual MO.

  • I ordered a burger for lunch today and when I ordered a second one, they tried to charge me the full price. I said no thank you and walked out. I'll never go back again after being treated that way.

  • That's a crock of word not allowed

54.99$ no thanks as I rarely do Freighter flights anyways, probably would of bit if it was in the mid 30$ range though just to support the developer.

Only suckers pay full price.

JustFlights offers me a sizeable discount as an owner of the 146 to be used for the RJ series, a fundamentally different aircraft that comes with its own sets of variants. However, I’m somehow disrespectful to expect some kind of discount for a freighter variant of the -200 who’s notable changes are derated engines and slight length difference.

Might depend on what you class as sizeable, it was 20%. Just Flight even stated externally they are identical.

You only lose out if you decide you have to buy multiple variants, otherwise they work out a lot cheaper than their p3d counterparts...

And what did JF say about the aircraft internally? Or do we want to continue using gross over-simplifications to entirely miss the point of my argument?

Again, somehow easily missing the point. I thought I was pretty clear. Guess not.

The 777F loooks like another port to me , Every plane they have released for 2020 I personally think they are P3d Ported aircraft, Fenix ,Ifly Max and Justflight RJ look like 2024 Qaulity and have just as much factional Systems and reality.  PMDG have definitely become a mid tier developer and still charge $$$ for P3D quality , yeah they once where the best but that ended in P3D.

IF it was a "port",  and so easy, it would have been done years ago......

Words are cheap aren't they, can say them without a clue what you're talking about.

I own everything PMDG did for P3D, and now what they've done for MSFS, just a "port" you say, LOL, ya right...

The new plane is absolutely beautiful, and only the Toliss Airbus in X Plane have as good a VNAV implementation as this. The entire descent was hands off, it was just flawless all the way to landing. In P3D the 777F was what I flew the most of, and now it will be in MSFS as well.

Say whatever you wish, it's your loss 🙂

They probably have a plan to take ages between release so they can say and it appears its built from the ground up and charge extra$$$$$.

The proof is in the pudding look how basic the EFB is its still very basic , I remember them saying it would be Ground Breaking

People think just because its PMDG it goes to the top of the pedestal no questions asked.

I too have owned every PMDG since FSX, they use to be the best but not anymore.

There should have been a discount for people who had already bought the 777.

Yeah not interested in it at that price - I'll fly the passenger version and act like it's a cargo aircraft.

I came here to say I just did the most spectacular 90 right turn on departure.  The turn was painted on the ND as tight as could possibly be and the plane flew it as purty as I have ever seen a simulated aircraft fly.  Maiden flight.  More to come.  FP below.

Why? Where does this "I must have a discount just because I purchased another product from the same developer" attitude come from? I have the PMDG 737-600, but I would not expect a discount if I decided that I wanted one of the other versions of the 737.

On a side note, how do the sounds compare to the P3D version?
