Now I spend the majority of my time 6%. Yes I absolutely am, although I'm stuck at 5% Loading Language. Prior to the patch my sim would start and I'd be at the main menu in 2 minutes or less every single time. Now it sits there stuck on 5% Loading language for 5-6 minutes doing nothing. I have found a workaround though, when it gets stuck at 5% I just kill the sim in task manager and then restart it. After clicking continue on the popup it goes straight into activating VFS packages and the sim loads in a normal time. But I now have to go through this charade every time I start the sim. Also noticed since the patch I'm getting horribly mushed blurry textures on my landing runway on short final. Never had that before until the patch. And last night for the first time I got the awful FPS/VRAM bug on rollout where my FPS dropped to single digits and I had a slideshow. This patch has been an unmitigated disaster for me personally.

With as scarce time as I have, I don’t want to get set for a flight only to run into issues. That’s simply not fun, enjoyable, or good use of time regardless of how “much more” realistic it feels/appears. Totally on point - there is nothing worse then having a good flight get ruined by something game wise out of your control. Since the last set of updates 2020 is that for me 99.99% of the time. Every time I load up 2024 and just sit on the runway it feels like any flight isnt going to be that way for me right now. Hopefully mid next year that will get that way - but it certainly doesnt seem that way right now for me in 2024

HPE servers are dependable, as well as any kind of certified software running on them. Get the difference? Mentioning word dependability in conjunction with MSFS 202x, is just amusing. The general improvements to the flight model alone are worth it. And there are a host of other flight sim-specific improvements as well. YES - it's buggy as heck and not ready for Serious Simmers!!! And neither was v2020 when it was at this stage of release, either. No reason to abandon v2020 (or X-Plane, or P3D) if what you want isn't (yet) reliable in v2024. I'm having a great time in all 3 lately, TBH. Well, not v2020 since I ditched it already 😉
