DLSS 4 DLL's

Featured Replies

Apparently if using the beta, the DLSS 4 DLL’s are remove each time you start the sim and it reverts back to the ones that come with it…

This was someone over official forums:-

“It seems it doesn’t like the new DLSS 4 files from Cyberpunk. When you install the beta, it reverts back to 3.7.20.0 DLSS version.

When I copy the new DLSS files, the game restarts the updating process and reverts back to old DLSS.”

Can I rephrase all info previously shared, just to check the process is ok ?

  1. Copy the new DLL 310.1.0.0 with the help (or not) of DLSS Swapper (https://github.com/beeradmoore/dlss-swapper)
  2. Install nvidia Profile Inspector (https://github.com/Orbmu2k/nvidiaProfileInspector/releases/tag/2.4.0.4)
  3. Force Profile in nvidia Profile Inspector based on this reddit thread https://old.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/1i82rp6/dlss_4_dlls_from_cyberpunk_patch_221/
    • Copy CustomSettingsName.xml in the same location as "nvidiaProfileInspector.exe". File available at https://easyupload.io/d4ceij
    • Select Profiles "_Global_Driver_Profile (Base Profile)"
    • Change in section "5. Common" DLSS 3.1.11 - Forced DLSS3.1 preset letter (base profile only) to "PRESET J"
    • "Apply Changes"

Thanks!

Please enlighten me since I'm rather analphabet in the area ... : With my RTC 3036 Ti am I good to go?

And if YES! then under what Graphics settings should I be?

I presently use TAA, 100% monitor refresh rate with FPS throttled to 30 FPS through Nvidia Control Panel.

Thank you so much for any hints 👍

Going by the label "(base profile only"), and what I saw on the corresponding Reddit, this setting needs to be applied in the Global base profile.

Funny, I know it shoud be preset J but in my pov F is giving much better glas cockpit experience (almost 100% clarity), just try it...maybe I am missing something.

Following the steps above, I'm seeing no difference in terms of glass cockpit quality or the blurring of instruments as numbers change with DLSS Quality.

Yup, once the drivers release they can handle the whole process and inject DLSS 4 into any DLSS 2+ game.

Ahh, good, then I’m going to wait for the native driver on the 30th. Do you know if we will have to use the new NVIDIA app for DLSS4 or can we still use the older NVIDIA default control panel?

My understanding is it'll be Nvidia App only, mainly because they are trying to phase out the old control panel and it won't see new features.

On another note, read a few mentions that people saw a performance decrease in using the new DLSS 4 .dlls. However, some discovered you can actually get a hold of a new 571.96 driver that has RTX 5xxx support, inside a CUDA toolkit update and that driver improved performance with DLSS 4. So that's good news.

Note the above driver does NOT have the updated Nvidia App, so no point in downloading it for forcing DLSS 4, still gotta wait.

I'm stumped. I have followed all the steps people have discussed here with the three files and forced profile J under global (hit apply and restarted the PC). However, when I load the sim, the DLSS Indicator shows Profile E is being used.

The new DLSS looks good in terms of stability (no flickering) and ghosting but when I fly in the clouds I see horizontal line artifacts that not only affect the sky, but even the windshield pillar.

Have you noticed anything like that?

Yeah, my brief splash into dlss 4 with 2024: if that’s what I was getting, is improved clarity but still not TAA levels, even though performance is better.
