April 30, 20251 yr Author No Sir just pulled up a chair at the bar and figured I would ask the question 😉
April 30, 20251 yr I think you are asking when SU2 will be released. The answer is no one knows, not even Asobo...they are still adjusting and fixing things. For now, you can join the SU2 beta program. I figure they're a couple of weeks out but that's a wild guess. I read an interesting thing about their SU betas. Usually the betas initially perform poorly fps-wise because of all of the telemetry code in them...that slows them down. Then towards the end of the beta they start performing better, partly because they start removing the telemetry as they near release. I don't think we're at that point yet with SU2 but of course what do I know. Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
April 30, 20251 yr I like the idea that you can just throw anything out there on this forum and just sit back and watch it become a 20 page thread. Doesn’t have to be coherent, doesn’t have to have any sort of point. Just chuck it out there and watch the magic happen.
April 30, 20251 yr I'm in the Happy to Wait camp. There is still a bit to do by the looks of it. 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base
April 30, 20251 yr I can see them releasing it as is and then moving swiftly onto SU3, the patch notes have got smaller in recent updates so it kinda suggests we're close. Unfortunately the performance issues, as discussed in the other thread, affect a lot of people alongside other reported regressions in this beta. Standard mash up from Asobo, expect the unexpected! Yeah, but by page 3 it is just two grumpy old men arguing with each other over something unrelated!

April 30, 20251 yr I am in the beta. Beta 14 improved things a lot while the current beta 16 causes performance issues because of some fixed. So they are still working on SU 2 and imho Asobo is on top of it. Summary : when SU is being released it will be a step forward. So a little more patiience. The interesting thing would be how internal stage gate reviews work. Because you could argue that Beta 14 would have been the moment for public release of SU2, no? Because it will be impossible to deliver a bug-free SU2 covering all bugs still open, so where to cut the line? Isnt there also a risk that prolonging the beta results in more and more issues and in the end you never release SU2 or in a even worse state than some weeks earlier... As would have happen if they would have released beta 16 to the public now instead of beta 14... Not an easy task for Asobo tbh... April 30, 20251 yr You don’t want it released right now. The latest update to the beta has been anything but good.
