On the internet that can be done with an easy script. GSX even has one for their makebelief fuel receipts. ;)

Thing is the US government has absolutely nothing to do with "+Tax." +tax is handled by each and every individual state, and each and every individual state charges a different % of tax. And, of course, some cities also add an additional tax just because they can.

So saying something costs "$$, plus tax" is a whole lot easier than including an encyclopedia of all 50 states, their tax rate, including cities, towns, counties, etc. If nothing else, it'll save some bandwidth and data if you have a data cap.

i somehow can't figure out this updating method. i download the update in marketplace. it says it's ready to install which i click on and shortly afterwards it's disabled.

There is actually no benefit in downloading the plane except you have a real slow internet connection. Set it to streamed and you will always have the latest version and no need to update.

Excuses, excuses. If they wanted they could change this overly complicated system and make it much more consumer friendly.

Start would be to lift sales tax to federal level that is the same in all states, counties and towns.

The same thing happened to me. And I noticed that the issue was that I had the plane currently selected as my current plane, so I only had to select a different airplane (Like the C172) and then update again. If that doesnt work for you just make sure to select any other plane and restart the sim. That should do. You now should be able to update without issues

Still not used to stealth updates on marketplace planes when streamed, but knew things had changed on today's flight when I changed frequencies and got the swap sound.

For those bugged by the legacy switch issues note that the KNOBS have been fixed (and two position switches have always worked OK), but three position switches are still borked and for now it is what it is, based on comments on Discord. Today's landing had only a little crosswind component so really didn't get much opportunity to test the changes made to front wheel steering friction. Seems fine, but then it always has for me if there weren't significant crosswinds.

Still very much enjoying this plane and, yes it's silly, but I was happier than I expected to be having the Freq Swap sound enabled. It's the little things...

How is the "front wheel steering friction with speed" going? Has it helped with certain setups/people experiencing dancing?

I nailed 2 landings today and while I didn't have the wandering issue, straight line steering at speed did seem more assuring.

not really, no... the squirrelly landing behavior begins after the mains touch and before the front wheel touches down... I agree that steering on rollout feels more assured but the wings still dip alot in crosswind landings just as before the patch ☹️
