This stream auto-updates

  1. Past hour
  2. Yes I have this problem with the liveries I use. The good news is that the aircraft does not crash to the ground when the Fenix software starts and the undercarriage does then appear.
  3. Thinking of updafts/downdrafts ... has anyone tried ASFS with gliders?
  4. I've just bought a Stream Deck Plus and the only tutorial I can find to set it up with MSFS uses Axis and Oh's, which I don't own. I've seen a few comments online about conflicts if you use FSUIPC and Axis and Oh's together and I use FSUIPC for control assignments, lua assignments, EXE.xml etc Q. Can I run FSUIPC and Axis and Oh's together with MSFS or not? Do any of you do this? If not, is FSUIPC still a requirement for some add-ons or does Axis and Oh's replace it completely? I've used FSUIPC since FSX and, if I could continue to use it with the Stream Deck Plus, that would be the easiest option. Thanks
  5. It's not necessary to back up anything before an MSFS update. Follow whatever back up policy you have for any other piece of software, it depends how you choose to live your life. With MSFS it isn't necessary but, ultimately up to you.
  6. I think so. Did a flight yesterday in the turbocharged Bonanza from Strasbourg (accents not too bad, added to the immersion actually) to Stuttgart. Problem was that it was using the US reg. nr. and not the German one for the livery. If that makes sense. Going to do a flight in the Kodiak. My plan (not sure if it will work), is to file a simple IFR flight plan using simbrief, then ask for a visual approach into EDNY Friedrichshafen.
  7. Thought I'd post here as I don't seem to be able to post on the Fenix Discord server. When first loading up, and prior to selecting the READT TO FLY button the aircraft just floats with no visible landing gear. Does anyone have any idea as to why this might be? It's fine when ready to go on the gate. It's certainly not a biggy, or worth a support ticket request. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this issue and managed to fix it.
  8. I have the same system but with hp reverb v2. Your expectations are too high. Getting smooth 45fps in all scenarios using DX12 TLOD dynamically set between 50-150 using mods and clouds on high. In a 2xGTN panel cockpit in IFR, clouds might even have to drop to med to hold a smooth 45fps. FSTL traffic is ok if you know how to set it up. You have it too high. Also consider DLSS 3.6 or 3.7 using DLSS Swapper and DLAA mod using "DLSS Tweaks" for more frames and better visual clarity. Also consider RTSS external frame locker mod for even better smoothness. NCP settings are not critical main one is texture filtering on performance and prefer maximum performance. Always clear the GPU cache(s) when switching to DX12. Yes, the cpu is under-utilized but that is a design problem with 2020. Sim update 15 beta helps with some memory related stutters.
  9. Yes, that issue with WASM add-ons is present on Xbox but at this time, delays of SU15 are speculation because Asobo hasn't announced anything. A delay does seem likely.
  10. This is true. In the twitch session, Asobo seemed to point the finger at the servers, which is run by Microsoft, but Asobo have been handed the franchise, and they have the task of improving the game, so why aren't they concerned about this? Your idea would be a good one to implement for example. The issue goes back years. I remember someone asked Martial about it on a Twitch session about two years ago if it would be possible to get back lost log books, and he just grinned at the camera and said 'No' - that was it. A poor response at the time, like he didn't care, and I am beginning to think he doesn't actually. If he wasn't one of the founders of the company, I don't think he would be there now. I am waiting to get a straight answer about anything out of him one day, but I won't hold my breath. But anyway, the thing is, whether it is MS or Asobo, someone needs to take ownership of some of these issues, and it is one of the problems of having partnerships like this. I get the feeling Asobo won't do anything unless directly told to do so by Jorg / MS.
  11. xMETAR (by spectrun) updated 1.0.0.1 This update includes: Added Improved External Server Support Added basic support for Flight Plans in .PLN format. Tested with MSFS and Little NavMap Minor Fixes and Code Performance More Info
  12. November is very late if they want to capture Christmas sales. Many people (read Parents) will have purchased gifts before then. I say September.
  13. This is not your typical freeware aircraft he is asking the release date of.
  14. I really like the changes from this latest build. Simple basic voice accents and toggle bring to front are really good and you have to wonder why stuff like that wasnt caught before early access. Now I wonder if you can make the program call you by the tail number...
  15. I'll try this one again.... Everybody seems to be talking about backing up the COMMUNITY folder.....but what about the OFFICIAL/STEAM folder? I have addons in both of these folders.
  16. Note that initial release is IFR only; VFR and other stuff including traffic to follow. There's a roadmap on the UI.
  17. Looks like November in time for Christmas. The bug fixes may begin to appear around January/February 2025 as there are sure to be lots of them.
  18. A few users have reported that this happens sometimes and it's happened to me on a few ocassions. I've found that a reboot usually solves it, though it has happened often enough that I pretty much know all my settings off by heart and can reset them all in a couple of minutes now. Some say that logging out of the Xbox app can sometimes resolve.
  19. Today
  20. Was flicking through youtube yesterday and saw a video by islandsimpilot who was saying that MS were going to have to delay SU15 again today as there was a bug meaning that addon aircraft could not be used on Xbox. Has there been anything official on this or do they think they can fix it in the release version which I assume will land at 1600Z today if it is indeed released.
  21. The Aircraft save states, controller settings etc. are stored under the %LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\SystemAppData\wgs folder, so you can make a copy of that. The next time you get the "assist" menu, or another indication that things might be wrong the best course of action is to quit MSFS before going further. This might prevent MSFS from resetting stuff. After that, go to the Xbox app on your PC and log out of your account, then do the same for the Windows Store app for good measure. Reboot, and log into the Store and Xbox app again and hopefully things are fine. The issue is not with Asobo I think but the way Microsoft wants to store the userprofile in the cloud. If only Xbox kept previous versions of the profile and we could choose which profile to load from the user account menu in MSFS it would be less of a horror like the mess it is now. A seperate "manage profile" app where you can backup your profiles manually and choose which to use or sync with the Xbox cloud might even be a better option.
  22. I had that issue indeed. I kinda bruteforced it by keeping the trigger (my go-to PTT key) depressed while clicking on the set key button of BATC. After a few tries, it worked.
  23. If I remember correctly there is an Xbox event in June where we should hear more info about MSFS 2024 and a possible release date.
  24. if I understand correctly, BATC does not yet talk to other traffic but will do so in the future. So, if I want that other traffic to communicate with premium voices to ATC, that will add up to the costs as well (in other words, increase dramatically) ?
