Prepar3D v 2.0 will come out in November

May I make a suggestion? Consider downloading and installing "Internet Download Manager". It costs a few bucks but is the best support software I have purchased for a long time. Definitely speeds up download speeds and overcomes corruptions.

Cheers, Mac

A2A shows some shots in their Facebook page too.

alpha fade working on v2? one of the most annoying thing about fsx: autogen popping up instead of fading into view.

So I know this version is primarily a graphics update... but have they made any other changes under the hood?

1. Any work on the FSX wind/cloud/visibility shift bugs?

2. Any changes to AI traffic behavior? Are they planning to open up ATC via an SDK?

3. Does it release memory properly or will we still need to disable scenery areas we overfly?

4. Has the navaid/airspace database been updated?

I know I have a lot of questions.... but don't worry, I only have about a thousand more

need. more. screenshots.

Granted, in still screenshots, the sim will probably look just about the same as FSX and P3Dv1.4 do today... but still....

What about VAS consumption? FSX is quite a hog when it comes to 3PD airports, scenery and aircraft.

With the use of DX11 etc is the VAS being saturated less on P3D v2?

IE - what's the risk of OOM's?

To follow up with others with my own question, is Nvidia Inspector Vertical Sync 1/2 Refresh Rate working, any image tearing when enable?

Good God,

i´m sure that the time for FSX is over!!! Is it really impossible that we can fly the awesome PMDG products in Prepar3d in the future? I just love my T7, but i will change from FSX to Prepar3d just after release of V2.0....

ALL your CPU cores will be used. Your GPU/Video card will finally take a beating (I know mine has). LM Engineers have also modified code to better optimize memory management, which also means less OOM. And did I already mention, its now a DirectX 11 engine?

Yeah!  I put these particular parts together on the hope that P3D v2 would exploit a good part of them, and indeed this appears to be the case!  Yeah bring it on!

No PMDG birds will keep FSX on my rig for the time being...

Screens are looking superb! If all the screens are really without SweetFX and stuff (vanilla P3D 2.0) then I'm slightly amazed how good is the lighting/shadowing. These shots with Twotter are fantastic, you can really see how good and natural the lighting is.

And the biggest question is - how P3D 2.0 will perform on my machine, with GTX 560 OC (DX11 card). Something is telling me that the performance will be worse than FSX, and I will need a much better card?

Yes, would be great to hear about VAS with this new Engine! Hope it's better.

Those dynamic shadows make such a difference!! So beautiful wowww

Really looking forward to the release of this V2.  Tired of buying high-end computers that can wash your dishes and re-map satellite navigation but can't run FSX properly.  Really glad LM has picked up the ball and ran with this.

How about engine simulation and FDE, I am thinking turboprop and helicopters in this respect? Have they been updated or is it same 'ol, same 'ol?

There has been changes but how close the engine/flight model is to the real one will depend on the developer, as always.

But right now it is possible to do flat spin stalls.
