Looks like the 5900x provides a 25% performance boost in FSX (when CPU limited), which is nothing to scoff at. But I already decided to wait for the next refresh, which is going to triple the L3 cache on the CPU. The last upgrade before a new motherboard is needed. I will be offloading My chip for one of them the moment they go on sale lol. In case you've missed those news: https://www.anandtech.com/show/16725/amd-demonstrates-stacked-vcache-technology-2-tbsec-for-15-gaming ~15% improved gaming performance by stacking more L3 cache on top of the CCD. Should be enough to keep up with Alder Lake. Either way, everyone will be getting a free PC upgrade with Sim Update 5. 😀
