February 19, 20224 yr Near the end on takeoff, was it showing terrain or weather on the Nav display? I couldn't quite figure out which. Mark CYYZ
February 19, 20224 yr Yes, I tend to agree, there was no wow effect for me neither in regard with the cockpit textures, but I really expect a higher level of satisfaction when we'll test the physics and systems of this virtual good old 737 by PMDG. - PC Hardware: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D // Asus ROG Crosshair X870E HERO // 2x32Gb Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5 6000MT/s CL30 // ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4090 OC Edition // 4Tb Corsair NVMe M.2 MP600 // Corsair 1600W PSU Samsung Odyssey Arc 55" curved 165 Hz monitor. - Simulator Hardware: VIRPIL Constellation Alpha Prime + VIRPIL VPC Universal Control Panel - #3 + MOZA AY210 Force Feedback Yoke + WINWING URSA MINOR 32 Throttle & PAC Metal + WINWING SKYWALKER Metal Rudder Pedals + WINWING Airbus FCU & EFIS + WINWING Boeing 3N PAP + WINWING MCDU-32 + WINWING PFP-4 + WINWING PFP 3-N + WINWING PFP-7.

And PMDG just entered beta testing over the last week. This would put a release date between April to June. This assumes PMDG doesn’t encounter any “show stoppers” during the beta test. Show stoppers would extend the beta test duration. Randazzo mentioned a PMDG beta lasted 9 months once. I doubt this will happen with this 737 but you can’t discount a worst case scenario. I had all the variations of the PMDG 737 in P3D, and flew them for a couple of years. Looking at the videos, everything on the flight deck looked pretty much the same. I probably will pass on this one.

I have been flight simming since the Spectrum days, and this airplane has to be number One of all times. Wich sounds? There are no sounds in this trailer, only music.
February 19, 20224 yr Is the BBJ coming out with initial release?😲 FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
February 19, 20224 yr I'm not a jet liner simmer so at a first glance this looks like an A320 with a pointy nose. But because a lot of folks seem excited could the knowledgeable crowd explain to me what is the major difference (in MSFS) between this one and (f.i.) an A320?? February 19, 20224 yr I liked the update, a lot of good things will come with it. Very good taste was the choice of setting, SBRJ, credit to one of the best set designers in the world, Paulo Ricardo. We wait.
February 19, 20224 yr @ hansb57 AB verses Boing is like Ford v Chevy. They are different AB is much more modern design with side stick all fly by wire from the get go. Boings use the old yoke and feel like they are from the 60's with a lot of upgrades. You find lovers and haters on either side. In the USA Boing seems more popular in Europe... It is all good, IMHO you need both, and I will get this and the Phoenix when it comes out even though I don't fly tubes much. They are fun every once in a while. That is what is so great about simming one day you are in a heli or a glider and the next in a bush plane and then you can pretend to pilot a tube when bored with that. keep them coming... February 19, 20224 yr Can’t wait for this to be released, in all my simming years the 737 is the one I flew the most so will for sure be getting it. February 19, 20224 yr I'm amazed by the configuration options. The flight dynamics seem right from what you can see. If you compare it - for example - to the CRJ, where rotation feels much too sensitive. I remember someone claiming MSFS would allow livery-quality addons only. 😄 To point out a negative aspect as well: Maybe let someone from Microsoft do the video next time. 😜 Happy with MSFS 🙂 home simming evolved
February 19, 20224 yr I always love the Fenix comparisons. People act like Fenix is the good new guy and PMDG the old grumpy ones with outdated stuff (meh the resolution!!! Meh the wingflex!!! Meeeeeh the stutters). Well. PMDG brought me hundreds of hours of joy in the last years and never failed to deliver. Fenix showed a fancy video until now. We will see. Maybe it's just the video, but I had expected more by PMDG, there wasn't a wow effect for me like when I saw the fenix airbus 😞 Maybe it's the youtube compression, we will just need to see some screenshot up close. For me there is one thing that is present since FSX 737, the engine start blade transition, from 3d to 2d, you can see it on the video around the 1:00 mark. Outside of that, this plane looks awesome

The plastics around the windows, eyebrow window texturing, metal applications, overall plastic applications and textures. There is massive differences in textures in the this MSFS video. I am really impressed from a texture standpoint internally. Simon
