FSS B727F has been released

I was just about to buy after I finished watching a couple of YouTube videos. Is it just me or does this aircraft fly super twitchy? Especially during approach phase I’ve seen some aerodynamics that resemble more of a 172 than a 727 😳.

This is the one thing that would prevent me from buying it. What are everyone’s experiences here so far with both pitch and roll sensitivity? In their discord FSS suggested adjusting values in a cfg file, which is kind of a red flag to my, imho.

Cheers,

Pete

So a quick update. The purchase went well. No waiting. 10 mins to download and install. Copy and pasted code from Instant download account and activation was a breeze. I wanted a quick flight to

Taken just by itself that's a pretty niche reason to entirely reject a plane 🙂

Let's not go there.  This thread is about the FSS 727, not Aerosoft.

If that was a joke, put a smiley in, otherwise your post comes across rather pedantic.

The product is now live on Aerosoft.

Aerosoft?

Quickly puts credit card away until views are overwhelmingly good, otherwise no thanks.

Yes, as much as I'd love a good 727 this one sounds like a bit of a mixed bag.

Think I'll give it a miss.

According to their Discord just a few moments ago, INS drift and DME updating just made into the release update.

Awesome, cheers

Well, I like the look of this aircraft, but I wasn't sure about the level of complexity involved with its systems. So I emailed them, and a very nice lady responded almost instantly to my query to confirm that yes, I could ctrl-e it or hot-start on the runway and just bang the throttles open and fly away. Which is exactly the level of complexity I require. And it seems to be a fair price for a good looking plane, so I bought it and went joy-riding.

And although it's a bit sluggish in its manoeuvring it still went where I wanted it to go. Teensy bit of last minute slew at the end, and I also confirmed that it floats ok too.

I will use it slightly more seriously as well, but I thought that as folk seem to be taking things incredibly seriously of late I'd stick my nose in to show that hey - it's ok to have fun with this stuff.

Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

For that stunt, I'm reporting you to the King, Parliament, and whatever else you have over there!!!

That's a great-looking Aerosucre livery. I also noticed AmeriJet in the promo video.  Do you know, they have some of those derelict AmeriJet 727's sitting on the side in Panama/Tocumen (MPTO) back over in the cargo area.  Or they did as of a few years ago.   They used to run those up to Miami all the time.

Looks like a legit Aerosucre takeoff from London City Airport...

Fair enough. I usually like to find out why I shouldn't give my money to a company when people indicate that to be the case because if it's legit, I'll definitely refrain. But, seeing as the only reply to the question in 2.5 pages was "we don't talk about the I Hate Aerosoft club," there's no evidence this is anything but a typical Internet snark-mob, so off I go to buy this from Aerosoft.

Rotating beacons does not look good.  So no thanks.

Another reason for me is, in the official release video, the cargo loader is too much dirty.
