Of course not, would rather have the 100, but hey we have 50 versions of the A320

Easy to say from a user and not a developer, perhaps? They went with the most popular versions that will sell the most. A320's and B737's fly the most in RW. Of course 172's for GA.

I wanted a quick flight to get her in the air and feel how she flies so I used the crew manager (excellent tool while your learning and getting familiar with the aircraft btw) and did a couple of circuits around NZAA (Auckland NZ)

What is this crew manager, i mean i know what it says but is this inside with the add or a seperate tool ?

cheers 😉

You can see it at 0.39 sec in the previous vid, it's the phone. There you can toggle checklists and help you want from the crew!

inbuilt in form of a small mobile phone you can popup... but it looks like it doesn't even do basic checks if prerequisites are met... like you don't start the engines but the after start checklist gets completed green. Really?

Overall I have to say it's ok for the price but don't expect anything shiny. Texturing and PBR use for example are subpar imho. Some minor modelling issues e.g. look at the engine nacelles in comparison to real world shots. Or take a closer look on the landing lights. Take a closer look at the underside of thewings another example of subpar textures. The beacon lights are just looking arkward imho also throwing light where non should be but thats a problem of the broken lighting engine of msfs mostly. Seethrough issues on the model on wing lights (something easily spotted by a good beta tester).

Mixed bag atm. Center console is looking totally empty with just a nav option thrown in. No real 727 ever looked like that.

No testflight yet. Will do now.

Needs def some time to mature looks like. So for me not the feature complete release as promised.

Cheers T.

Looks interesting, but I'll wait for a pax -100. Freight ops aren't my type.

Nice plane and feels great.  long takeoff rolls are a reminder of how it used to be in the 1960s.  simple auto pilot, basic pitch, and power, yet fast performance is a great combination.

however, on my older system the frames are brutal.  not sure why, because more complicated planes run much smoother.

Oh and in direct comparison to the Dreamliner me think the 727 is def the choice... look at endurance, range and flight level 😬

omg how happy Im!

My first payware plane back in the day was the captainsim 727, that was in the FS2002 days! then came the Dreamfleet one and for sure the 727 was (and is) my favorite airplane.

Right now Im on my way to Ecuador with this one and it works sooo good, my god, so many memories. Im amazed at the quality of this thing

What did I miss? Why do we hate Aerosoft now?

Let's not go there.  This thread is about the FSS 727, not Aerosoft.

The marketing video looks good.. but i think ill wait a few more updates before jumping in for the cargo variant. The texture work needs to be improved and the stuff being pointed out by Torsen above just hints of a sense of "lets get the product out there and polish it up later" kind of vibe.

The Dreamliner is NOT 50% faster in cruise that the 727, in fact the 727 was a very fast aircraft (.84 mach cruise and .90 mmo) compared to current models...and don't get me started on the range stats (no 727 had greater range than a 747 or 777...14,820 km/9200 sm lol. Actual max range about 4000nm/7500km) - I wouldn't trust any of those stats without doing some verification from other sources.

I didn’t need a GitHub account, try this link, Jane and see if that works: https://docs.flightsim-studio.com/v/boeing-727
