Still the blatant disregard for VR fixes is simply laughable, they've been struggling with mouse and UI issues for years in this respect so it's no surprise they're still bad at this, it's just simply at this stage🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

What????

I have very few issue with VR as to the UI and mouse issues. In some planes there are mouse issues. In all of them, Nope!

So yes the Mouse issues need to be fixed but I wouldn't refer to this as a blatant disregard for VR.

If this was the case they would drop support for VR.

I think it's also time that some VR Simmers face the music ( I am one myself):

Despite all best efforts, the technology remains niche. Even though hardware is now finally catching up with its demands, the majority of people won't take on the technology.

For whatever inexplicable reason the majortiy prefers that gimicky AR over VR.

And this is why we have to be content with slow progress and accept that developing time is spend elsewhere.

This community wanted "pay to beta", they paid for it with their hard earned cash, they embraced it and then shot own anyone on forums that were against it, like this one.

You are 100% correct. Unfortunately, this anomaly is very popular for some unknown reason. Only a few developers who take pride in their work and respect customers' wallets are left. It's like people want to be cheated and throw money at incompetence. UNBELIVEBLE!

And this is why Asobo/Microsoft should not be dedicating any resources to VR. Only a small fraction of simmers use it.

I believe its the same in most gaming communities not just this one.

People just want the latest stuff and are easily fooled by gimmicks, hype, marketing and social conditioning.

What a stupid argument. VR users pay the same amount of money for the sim which states it is VR compatible. No excuse not to fix like any other issue.

Naturally I disagree. Because I belong to the fraction. 😉

I consider VR to be the best thing that ever happened to simming.

The Windshield Effects still is not fixed. When you set it to High, it goes back to Medium!!

Prior to the patch, mine has been set to high and never goes back to Med. Wonder if another setting affects that? Heres a video i sent to Orbx about colored spikes at KVNY but at the beginning you can see all of my settings. I recorded that video after a flight and before the next without changing settings.

In the segment that buys all the premium packages, tons of modules where MS gets a share, I guess that the VR usage rate is actually pretty high. Do you have any data or is it just a guess like mine?

VR for flight simming is the best thing since sliced bread. Especially if you have IRL flying experience. You don't look right ahead in an aircraft as you mainly do in a car (accept in towns).

Yeah I'd love to see pilot controlled lighting at uncontrolled and multiple intensity runway and approach lights at towered.  I highly doubt that will ever make it to MSFS.

Bill Womack of iBlueYonder created Pilot Control Lighting for XPlane11 with his 6B6 Minute Man airport. While its two different platforms, there still could be a chance to have that in MSFS but I feel its low priority. Which is a shame because it certainly makes a huge difference IRL flying at night.

I understand perfectly. If you set the sim time in the future, you are asking the weather system to give you real-world METAR observations that do not yet exist. You are asking for something that is literally impossible to provide. If you want “the most recent known weather”, then simply leave the sim time set to current real time - not a future time.

I think he's saying he doesn't want weather from 24 hours ago, he wants whatever the latest available weather is, NOT future weather.

Case: (Lian Li PC-011 Dynamic XL), PSU: (MEG Ai300p pcie 5 & ATX 3.0), Motherboard: (ASUS TUF Gaming x670E-PLUS WIFI 6E), CPU: (AMD Ryzen 7 7800-X3D)

Memory: (G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO RGB Series 64GB DDR5 6000), GPU: (Zotac Gaming GeForce RTX 4090 AMP Extreme Airo). CPU Cooler: (ASUS ROG Strix LC RGB 360)

Fans: (7 Corsair LL Series 120mm RGB)

Yeah. I want an option for both:

Vatsim Use Case: It's 2100 local time. I roll the clock back to 1500 when it's day light out. Vatsim will want me to be on the 2100 weather cycle. I thought kicking the time ahead would give me darling + this real moment weather but I may be wrong.

Historic Weather: I am working during a blizzard, but the skies clear at night. I'd like to roll the time back to the crappy weather and fly in it. Not on Vatsim, natch.

The challenge with it being linked now is to get live weather I have to chase the clock somwhat.

isn't it a flight simulator though?

this seems like an oddly specific metric
